Introduction

MEDIAMPLIFY MUSIC service is a customizable streaming service tailored for

cable and telecommunications operators. MEDIAMPLIFY MUSIC includes music

from multiple genres and is powered by MEDIAMPLIFY® a cloud-based platform,

the content is available both thru the web, mobile applications, IPTV outlets, and

also in set top boxes via cable operator’s head end systems.

Mediaplify has been used for media delivery successfully implanted for DMX2GO

(http://dmxtogo.com) a product by Mood Media, which has been launched in

different countries in Latin America including Brasil with SKY TUNES. DMX2GO is

a music product designed for cable operators and its subscribers.

Mediamplify, Amplify your Reach® Mediamplify is a cloud-based distribution platform that replaces satellite delivery

and allows distribution of media to any device including mobile applications for

Android, iPhone, and other embedded platforms. The cloud provides multiple

video and audio formats in multiple qualities allowing the easy distribution of

the media to any outlet. For cable and video distribution on head ends, we use

internet-based delivery to our “Media Plug” units, which are collocated at the

cable operator premises.

Mediamplify Music

We provide curated content and a variety of music

genres. Streaming content is offered to solve media

and entertainment needs for current subscribers and

specially suitable for subscription-based services.


Mediamplify Music is hence available to cable subscribers everywhere in any

device via downloadable applications under the “Mediamplify Music” brand or

under the cable or telecommunication operator brand upon licensing conditions

are met.

The cloud-based service handles as subscribers in a scalable fashion providing

and content is updated daily with new songs and artists metadata. The media is

stream from the platform to set top boxes, mobile devices, tablets, and IPTV

devices full with curated or content generated by the system based on millions

of user’s input.

The genres are fully adaptable and 200+ music channels are available under

each genre. We can add stations as required by the media owner.

Customizable Screens As a cable operator your offering is extended to 10, 25, 50, or 100 music

channels with 24/7 coverage. The channel lineup include video with the

metadata required or in could be just audio, depending on the offering. Each

music channel generates its own rich metadata, which is collected from the

internet, this metadata is regenerated in the form of video input that is displayed

along the video channel. The video inputs are fully customizable to include the

cable operator’s logo, title/artist information, album, tweets, instagram pictures,

and many other updates.

We recommend choosing the following parameters for customization.

Mobile Applications Mediamplify MUSIC is available as stand-alone mobile application downloadable

from Google Play and iPhone Apple Store. The login/password credentials can be

created by the user or provided by the cable operator.

Integration to our authentication system can be completed within weeks and our

mobile applications will provide access to all subscribers.

Web Interface Mobile and Tablet

The web interfaces can be seen in all devices and the site is enabled for mobile

terminals. The user interfaces are hence viewed in the iPad, iPhone, and Android

devices.

Native interfaces can be used as well as part of the plan. These applications can

be customized and available via Apple Store and Google Play.

Cable Operator Deployment Our system provides your head end with a MEDIA PLUG device; this device

includes fault-tolerant equipment capable of delivering music content to your

cable subscribers.

A cable operator may choose a lineup of stations, bit-rate quality of the music,

and encoding format requested by the operator.

An Internet connection of DSL or Cable Modem with a minimum of 2Mbps (or

higher) of download and 512Kbps upload links is required at the head end for

each MEDIA PLUG.

All maintenance, control, updates, to the cloud and the MEDIAMPLIFY MUSIC

team manages all MEDIA PLUGS.


Monetization

Subscription Fee

You can charge a subscription fee for the additional channels or include that as

part of your channel lineup.

Web Subscription Fee

Customers outside your coverage area may subscribe as a virtual customer and

receive music content from

Advertisement

Ads can be added as background sponsors per channel basis, or include and add

every Nth song in the playlists. However, we recommend maintaining a

commercial-free lineup without commercials and use backgrounds and video ads

as opposed to inserting interruptions in the audio playlist.

Customization Players and User Interfaces

Web Interface

The web interface is an HTML5 platform that can be seen in all browsers and

interfaces including Mozilla, Google Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. The

player is fully customizable to handle any subset of channels, or all channels

depending on configuration selected. For instance:

The Music Platform

Subscribers can login/signup/logout, upgrade, cancel subscriptions, and use a

variety of features exposed as shown here:

All subscriptions are created and managed by Membership management

Platform including different membership lengths, digital downloads, and token-

based streaming sessions of music channels.

User Management Users can be signed up from the main front end, or a user can signup on its

own, select a type of subscription, and submit a payment method. Users can also

link their accounts to Facebook (if requested to Twitter).

Fully customizable membership levels and plans, Mediamplify Music can restrict

access to music channels, downloads, or any other individually created content.


Once a subscription plan is selected, user is requested to create a

username/password, or if already registered then login to the platform.

Once user has chosen a membership type, an account, and validate all

credentials the user can then proceed to make a payment.


Music Channels Available Once logged in, the correspondent subscription channels will be displayed as

Google TV Interface

Our software also supports Google TV interface with HD/SD quality video output.

May smart TVs are powered with Google TV, including externals interfaces as the

ChromeCast. These interfaces are available in many Smart TVs and can be

loaded in any Google Android TV hardware.


XBMC and Custom Hardware Specification

An XBMC platform with Python, the application can image can be loaded into any

Open Hardware interfaces or the specification tested by EGLA COMMUNICATIONS

and validated by hours of verification.

Platform Statistics Statistical information is kept on membership; membership numbers are kept in

great detail with a log per user of any creation and deletion of users. Likewise,

tracking on what stations are used and chosen by the subscribers is kept with

great detail.

Chat Feature Customer support is required for subscribers, the chat feature allows questions

to be made to a designated staff with purposes of technical support, billing,

sales, and basic CRM.

Certificate Based and Digital Right Management All communications are used under HTTP or a “Secure Socket Layer” hence, a

communications of all media content are protected. This can be turned off and

changed.


Fail Over

The cloud contains a MAIN and a BACKUP link that are available to end users and

can be accessed to handle a fail over scenario, in case of maintenance or any

unexpected system failure.

The web Interface may be configured to store a local musical repository that will

playback in case of link failure, however native applications can be also

configured to buffer certain amount of data for a channel to be played back in

case of failure.
