Neurosurgery OT O Duraform

O Bovine collagenO A textured top surface

makes DURAFORM Implant easy to use

O The soft, smooth bottom side gently molds to the complex surface structures of the brain and dura, minimizing undesirable creases and folds.

Neurosurgery OTO SURGICELO Made of an oxidized cellulose

 polymer(the unit is polyanhydroglucuronic acid)

Neurosurgery OTO SpongostanO Is a sterile, water-

insoluble, malleable, porcine gelatin absorbable sponge intended for haemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface.

Neurosurgery OTO Biodegradable BoneO Tissue engineered biomaterials may

be preferable for covering of bone defects because they work on the principle of regeneration (utilizing body’s inherent repair capability.

O The polyvinyl alcohol-tetraethylorthosilicate-alginate-calcium oxide (PTAC) biocomposite cryogels are a new kind of biodegradable and inorganic - organic composite bone biomaterials which have been specifically designed for bone regeneration.

O We will construct biodegradable synthetic bone flap substitute material (PTAC biocomposite cryogel) and implant in cranial defect(s) during cranioplasty in pediatric patients.

O Normal bone formation along with resorption of the biodegradable material will be assessed radiologically on follow up.

Antiviral GownO Non woven fabric is used as a material for

developing surgical gown.O Three layers of fabrics were used.O The outer layer polypropylene nonwoven fabric is

used with basic weight of 30 g/m2 O Middle with breathable polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE)

film with 0.4 micron with basic weight of 15 g/m2 O Inner layer as polyester nonwoven fabric with basic

weight of 25 g/m2. Polypropylene is having a moisture regain of 0% and good liquid repellency.

O Titanium dioxide nanoparticle has photocatalytic action and singlet oxygen is produced by methelene blue.

Titanium dioxide nanoparticle

O The Polypropylene nonwoven fabric was coated with 1% nano dispersion with material to liquor ratio of 1:20 and 0.5% Anionic binder.

O The nonwoven fabric was finished with pad-dry-cure method.
