As an instrument manufacturer the company Helmut Zepf developed a product line for the optimum processing of dental instruments, in close cooperation with a renowned manufacturer of disinfectant and cleaning agents.
An underestimated part of the instruments in a dental prac-tice is damaged during the daily hygiene cycle; sometimes the instruments are nearly completely destroyed. The potential reasons are widely spread and need a close observation.
The use of abrasive cleaning agents, metal brushes, the failure to comply with speci-fied timelines etc. are only an extract of possible reasons.
In order to support the practice team or the hygiene manager in particular, we now offer care products for an optimal and safe processing with our products AdCon, NCDC-Cleanser and ProActive-Cleanser.

AdCon Cleansing Foam – for an intensive but not protein fixated pre-cleaning of all instruments
AdCon is a surface active and germ reducing cleaning foam. AdCon undercuts protein residues as well as body fluids. These particular characteristics prevent organic residues from drying as
these residues could result in incrustation with crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion. By carrying out a pre-treatment with AdCon the cleaning will be much more efficient and gentle – no matter
whether you clean your instruments manually or automatically! AdCon is the ideal solution for users who have to consider longer periods before cleaning.
80% of the instruments' damages are due to crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion. The reasons are protein incrustations. So far, aggressive cleaning agents have been used in order to remove
incrustations which resulted in several other disadvantages. With AdCon such handling errors are actively prevented. The cleanings become more gentle and
efficient. The lifetime of your instruments will be considerably improved.
Application: Spray AdCon on the used instruments after the treatment. Allow 5 - 10 minutes to take effect.
Afterwards please rinse the instruments with water and process them as usual.
Composition: Complexing agent (EDTA), parabens, biguanide in a water and glycol based solution.
Effective pre-cleaning for instruments – reach your goal more quickly with less chemicals

NCDC-Cleanser
NCDC-Cleanser – highly effective liquid concentrate for cleaning and disinfection of rotating and general dental instruments
NCDC-Cleanser is a liquid solution free of aldehyde and phenol for cleaning and high performance disinfection for the use in a dip tank or ultra-sonic bath. NCDC-Cleanser is used universally for surgical and rotating instruments. The ready-to-use solution is gentle on materials and has a low electrical conductivity. Therefore, electrolytic effects, which have led to pitting corrosion when the instruments were not processed immediately, are prevented. The new formula protects all instruments from corrosion.
NCDC-Cleanser is VAH / DGHM certified.
Area of application: 1.) General dental and surgical instruments
(diagnostic, conservative and surgical instruments) e.g. extraction forceps, root elevators, mouth mirrors, stiff and flexible endoscopes etc.
2.) Rotating dental instruments e.g. steel, diamond, surgical drills and cutters, crown spreaders, endodontic instruments, rubber polishers etc.
Application: We recommend to use NCDC-Cleanser in a solution with 0.5 %. For the preparation of the ready-to-use solution, mix for example 5 ml of concentrate with 995 ml of water (please refer to the dosing table). For shorter reaction times you can mix a higher concentrated ready-to-use solution and clean the instruments in an ultrasonic bath (please refer to the range of effects). Put the instruments for cleaning and disinfection in the ready-to-use solution. Remove the instru-ments after the recommended time and rinse them with appropriate water (deionized water). Con-sequently use a nylon brush for heavy contaminations with flowing water and repeat the disinfection process. Afterwards all instruments need to be sterilized.
Spectrum of activity (at high protein load): n bactericidal incl. TBC and MRSA, yeasticidal (according to VAH)
economical 0.5 % = 60 min. / 2.0 % = 30 min. quick 3.0 % = 10 min. / 4.0 % = 5 min. in ultrasonic bath
n limited virucidal effect (according to RKI): enveloped viruses incl. HBV, HCV, HIV, Herpes simplex, Influenza (H1N1 + H5N1), BVDV, Vaccinia 0.5 % = 60 min. / 1.0 % = 10 min.
n non enveloped viruses such as Adeno, Noro, Polio according to EN 14476 3.0 % = 10 min. in ultrasonic bath (at 55° C / 131° F)
n CJD-prophylaxis, meets the requirement of the RKI (pH ≥ 10)
Durability ready for use solution: unused = 30 days | used = 7 days
Composition / 100 g NCDC-Cleanser: Bis(aminopropyl)dodecylamine 3.5 g, Cocospropylenediamine-guanidiniumacetate 2.2 g, Dodecyltrimethylenediamine 7.0 g; Rest ad 100 g: tensides, solubilizer, complexing agent,

ProActive-CleanserInstrument cleaning without disinfection –
in a higher concentration an acid basic cleanser
ProActive-Cleanser – an acid liquid solution in a dispensing bottle
The ProActive-Cleanser is an acid high performance cleanser for all dental and surgical instruments.
The ProActive solution is ideal for pre-cleansing of new products. In a higher concentration as acid basic cleanser to clean already incrusted residues e.g. protein, flash rust, lime and oil.
ProActive activates the chrome components of high-alloy medical steel, whereby the development of the natural chromium oxide layer is accelerated and intensified.
The instruments are therefore again resistant to corrosion. Cleaning and passivation in one step.
Application: 1 - 2% concentration in an ultra-sonic bath as pretreatment. 5 % concentration for an acid basic
cleaning or heavy contaminations. The cleaned instruments need to be rinsed with clear deionized water afterwards.
An operating temperature of 60° C (140° F) will increase the cleaning and passivation. We recommend a waiting time of 24 hours after the usage of ProActive-Cleanser in a higher
concentration so that a new passivation layer can be built. It makes sense to carry out an acid basic cleaning every 6 months.
Contains: Phosphoric acid > 50 %, tensides, additives
