ALTERNATIVE BREAKS

Alternative Breaks are week long service trips designed to educate and expose individuals to the terrible realities of poverty for Atlanta’s inner city youth and adults. We do this by providing the opportunity for individuals to serve with Medici Project and other organizations as they seek to make a difference in the lives of impoverished individuals.

MILLENNIALS

Positioned at the top of the influence pyramid, millennials are an inspiration to both the younger and older generations. Deemed as “global youth”, millennials have full access to the world due to the resource of the internet. Millennials have developed a unconfined way of thinking that mimics their interactions with the internet, where an infinity of subjects can be followed all at the same time. For millennials, it’s easy to start out with something, and end up somewhere else.

In this generation, it’s easy to be a painter, consultant, nerd, and sports maniac all at the same time. This is the most plural youth generation in history! Conventional career plans and beurocratical systems are a losing strength. More and more millennials want to marry work with pleasure.

Their biggest idols aren’t the most famous figures in history, but are common people who realize small possible dreams are just that...possible. They are the trend setters, the economic movers and shakers. Ruled by open source and crowd sourcing, and independent initiatives, these individuals can have immeasurable impact, all made possible by the internet and their drive to do something with their lives.
