MediSeal – synergies under one strong roof
MediSeal belongs to the KÖRBER MEDIPAK group of companies and – together with the
Swiss packaging specialists Rondo and Dividella – offer a full range of packaging systems.
Exploit the synergies of a strong group and benefit from low-cost packaging solutions for
your production!
Flexibility thanks to modular construction
In 1993, MediSeal set the standard with a
world’s first launch of the servomotor-driven
CP400. The classic vertical shaft principle was
replaced by a modular structure in which the indi-
vidual functional areas of the machine, such as
forming, dosing, sealing and stamping were
equipped with their own distributed drive
systems.
This modular structure, which has been consis-
tently developed since then, makes it possible to
customize machines to customers’ own require-
ments and provide them with special functions
as needed.
Modular construction additionally guarantees
clear separation of zones and optimal accessibil-
ity to the individual areas of the machine. In this
way, MediSeal is setting new standards in the
GMP-compliant construction of packaging
machines.
Today MediSeal is the partner when it comes to
converting the demanding requirements of our
customers into flexibly configurable line
concepts. Our blister packaging lines are also
future-proof and will cope with changes in your
product requirements.

In addition to standard aluminium
covering foil, paper, PP and PET
cover foils can be processed.
MediSeal has developed print
mark control systems for process-
ing paper-coated cover foils.
MediSeal blister packaging machines
cover a very wide forming range,
with maximum forming to a depth of
up to 35 mm.
PVC, PVDC, aluminum, Aclar, PP,
triplex or even 5-layer foils –
MediSeal machines can process all
types of foil without needing costly
conversion.
Perfect blisters from the very first cycle.
Thanks to the active guided transfer system, the
position of the blister on the line at any time is
indexed in the shift register.
In addition, any MediSeal line can be linked with
the BIB-BOB logistics module. The BIB-BOB
allows automatic stacking and removal of
blisters into and from carton hoppers.

Today, the generation of machines
comprising the CP200, CP400, CP600 and
CP1200 with their modular construction is
not only a technological leader but has also
proved itself many times – with more than
100 lines installed worldwide.
Quality assurance systems,
such as a fill check, are fully
integrated into MediSeal
lines.
Specially developed teach-in
programs allow new sizes to be
learnt in a few minutes.

Line expertise
At MediSeal this means the selectable combina-
tion of print, cartoning, weighing, labeling and
other final packaging systems. The direct blister
transfer system between the thermoformer and
cartoner eliminates the need for size parts and
stacking systems.
Running down the line and changing sizes is
therefore quick and can be carried out without
manual intervention.
very simple, quick servicing.Few mechanically moved parts means
Batch records are generated automatically by
MediSeal lines.
In addition, KIVI provides an interactive help
system for all levels of operation and fault
messages. The use is interactively guided
through the trouble-shooting process. In order to
be able to provide operators and fitters with
optimal information, individual help pages can be
added or SOPs can be incorporated in the KIVI
menu system without changing the validation
status.
MediSeal’s function-based KIVI operating
concept leads the operator smoothly through the
different functions of the machine and sets
standards for user-friendliness.
Size parameters are established and learnt once
only, stored in the system and are retrievable at
the push of a button for size conversions.
Management of QA systems such as fill checking
or code reading is carried out centrally via
MediSeal’s KIVI user guidance system. Size data
are now maintained and QA systems, initialized
via a screen. Access authorizations are easy to
manage, even in compliance with 21 CFR 11.
Without exception, MediSeal lines are
designed for fast and frequent size
changes. The number and size of the
necessary size parts has been minimized
and configured for quick changes requiring
no tools. The advantage to you: MediSeal
size sets can be manufactured at low cost
and at a high quality standard.

A simple operating concept and fast size changes.
The touch-screen panel combines all
relevant process and size parameters as
well as sensor functions at one central
access point. This function-based
structure supports simple and intuitive
operation of the line.
Fastest size changes thanks to
digital IVO counters: the line
indicates the size values to be
set to the operator.
Size conversion tables are a
thing of the past.
