Welcome to this new version of our events calendar. It's packed full of activities to entertain people of all ages throughout thesummer. We have taken a new approach to our quarterly events leaflet,turning it into a booklet because we have a great deal going on that wewant to tell you about.

Besides the events taking place, we have included the opening times andaddresses for our libraries, as well as some of the other services on offer. Wehope you like the new design and layout and that you find it easy to use.

Libraries have so much to offer you, our residents. From the regular eventswe hold for children to the special activities that are organised for familiesand talks for adults, there is much to choose from.

With free use of PCs that have internet access, an ever expanding range ofconsole games, DVDs and the introduction of blu-rays to our libraries, therehas never been a better time to visit one. With 16 to choose from, as well asthe mobile and children's mobile you are never far away from a library. Andof course, we have thousands of books, including the latest titles.

This summer, there is lots to choose from. Some highlights include the talkby Jason Salkey at Chatham Library about his time spent on the Sharpe TVseries in July; the Summer Reading Challenge for children, which this year is

called Space Hop and promises to be exciting and thechance to try out a comic workshop at Strood, Chathamand Gillingham libraries.

It's free to join a Medway library, so pop in thissummer. We value what our customers have to tell usand your feedback helps us shape the activities we provide.
