Arnold Lobel
He had a wife, named Anita, and two
children, Adam and Adrianne. Anita
was also a wonderful artist.

Mr. Lobel got many of his ideas for
characters from cartoons his

He said that taking books out of the
library was one of the things he loved to do most when he
was a child.
