Rafael del Campo is a Peruvian artisan who owns a ceramic workshop called “Ceramica Nueva”. He appreciates working with Manos Amigas, because he can trust he will get paid on time with a 50% advance to purchase materials and pay his workers. With the orders for nativities and other small ceramics, he can support his family and employs members of his community. He and his wife have three children, who he thinks will follow in his footsteps and become ceramic artisans when they grow older. “They want to study administration and other subjects and bring knowledge back to the workshop,” Rafael says.
