MEP Production Services

ATG’s MEP Production Services offer you the flexibility to grow your team with industry-experienced professionals as the need arises without the long-term cost and commitment of hiring full-time staff. We can support your design and modeling projects in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360 and Navisworks. Our Technical Specialists consist of certified Autodesk Design Professionals across the country covering multiple time zones. With more than 50 years of combined experience, our primary goal is to assist your engineers and project managers to help get that project out the door – on time and on budget. Our drafters, designers and 3D modelers use their industry experience to work as part of one of your teams or take on a project on our own and “run” with it. Unlike overseas solutions, we work the same hours as our customers allowing a quick response-time to issues as they arise without having to wait the next day. Detailed scoping with a fixed fee allows our customers to understand cost versus profitability before the end of a project. However, we understand that sometimes an hourly billing rate is preferable and are happy to work this way. We are eager to look at any project you could use help on and work with you on the best strategies to assist you in bringing it to the finish line. Don Rasmusson Director of MEP Services Bloomington, Minnesota Don specializes in Revit MEP, as well as AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks. He also dabbles in Plant 3D, Fabrication, Inventor and P&ID. He has over 15 years of experience in the MEP construction and engineering fields using BIM, and has utilized the workflow to construct several large projects throughout the Midwest - clean room facilities, health care facilities, office buildings, hotels and casinos to name a few. Don started his career path in the reseller channel 6 years ago. He truly enjoys helping others work through daily design challenges.

He speaks regularly at regional, local & national events, conferences and professional association meetings. As an adolescent, he spent every summer and school break (sometimes unofficial) working in his father's HVAC company, fabricating duct as well as installing and servicing HVAC systems. His experience puts him in a unique position to not only understand the nuances of the mechanical industry, but to understand where Autodesk software best fits throughout the life cycle of any MEP project. Bruce Johnson Senior MEP Technical Specialist Nashville, Tennessee Bruce has been using Autodesk products for a long time, starting with AutoCAD version 12 in 1993. He started training AutoCAD in 1993 and moved into the reseller channel in 1998, supporting Architectural and Land Desktop in version one. He began selling Autodesk products as well as maintaining technical certifications in Arch and Civil thereafter until 2007. Then, after a year in Fire Alarm and Protection, he moved into CAD management and then BIM management for MEP firms, and finally came to rest in a multi-disciplinary company with nearly 1000 employees in a role called Practice Technology, which was responsible for training, standards, user group management, tech support and IT support to recommend software and hardware solutions to include all the CTC

Revit tools, HIVE and Data Suite. He has managed Autodesk user accounts, Revit Server, BIM 360 accounts and project creation, and was the technical lead for all things MEP support such as SKM Powertools, ETAP, Trace 700, Hydracalc, Elumtools, Archvision content, ROHR2, etc…. lots of third-party applications. Colton Haney Senior MEP Technical Specialist Little Rock, Arkansas Colton has five years of experience in the AEC industry and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with a Mechanical Emphasis. For two years prior to joining ATG, he worked in HVAC design, primarily on healthcare and higher education projects. He maintains a working knowledge in producing quality models and drawings using Autodesk Design software.

Jay Ayala Senior MEP Technical Specialist Richland, Washington Jay has over 24 years of experience in the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Piping design and engineering industry. He has worked on a variety of projects from Medical Office buildings to mixed use Residential and Commercial buildings. Additionally, he has some work experience in the Construction industry such as laying out survey points and laser scanning commercial buildings. He is an expert in all the Autodesk AEC Industry software. He started using AutoCAD in 1992 and is actively using the entire Autodesk AEC Industry Collection. The CAD drawings he has

produced over his career include: Mechanical floor plans of commercial buildings, plumbing drawings, hydronic drawings,

Joe Levija Senior MEP Technical Specialist Madison, Wisconsin Joe graduated in 2015 with an AS in drafting & design and has been in the industry, professionally, since 2015. Joe has a variety of experience working in AutoCAD and Revit throughout his whole career and while in school. His work knowledge consists of working professionally in a MEP firm,

Structural firm, Architectural firm, Electrical contractor as a VDC technician, VDC Manager in a design firm and for a manufacturer. Within the MEP sector, he has experience in low voltage (telecom, audio visual, security camera, access control, paging and some fire alarm) as a lead drafter and power user while also assisting with project work and project setup for Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical/ HVAC. Within both structure and MEP design and MEP VDC, he has a large background in project setup, template creation and standard creation. As a power user for those industries, he has helped to move multiple companies from AutoCAD into Revit while setting standards and training current staff. His project background consists of local and state government project, Veterans Administration, healthcare, higher education, Arenas and Large venues, high rise buildings, skilled nursing facilities and commercial projects. Philip Charlson Senior MEP Technical Specialist Shakopee, Minnesota Philip Charlson brings over twenty years of experience in mechanical and architectural design experience to ATG USA. He is a certified expert in AutoCAD, Revit Architecture and MEP products. In addition, Philip brings twenty-five years of CAD/BIM experience on Autodesk products, making him an important

part of ATG’s technical team. Philip’s current responsibilities include training, mentoring, writing technical guides, providing technical support, implementing and content creation. Philip has worked in the Autodesk VAR channel for 18 years. He has successfully implemented Autodesk AEC software into several companies over the years. Philip started using AutoCAD since Release nine back in his high school years and has continued to the most current version. He also started using Revit soon after Autodesk purchased it back in 2002. Since then, Philip has achieved the status of Implementation Certified Expert, Certified Professional and Autodesk Certified Instructor for Revit. Steven Belaire MEP Technical Specialist Plano, Texas Steven has 13 years of experience in the AEC industry working in the construction side with general contractors. He has held technical roles with general contractors specializing in BIM and VDC and other software and process implementation. He has utilized the technology in an operations capacity to contribute to building many large projects around the Dallas and Austin markets, and has experience in the hospitality, healthcare, office, data center and multi-family sectors in all phases of design and construction. His experience includes 3D modeling, 4D schedule integration, laser scanning, quantity survey,

Zach Barker MEP Technical Specialist Tucson, Arkansas Zach has three years of experience in the AEC industry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Arkansas Tech University, and he has experience in the Civil, Architectural and MEP disciplines. Zach maintains current knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Recap and BIM 360, and is a Mechanical Certified Professional in Revit MEP.

Zach Rico MEP Technical Specialist Bloomington, Minnesota Zach has been using Autodesk software since 2012. Zach also implemented Revit into his 2-year technical course to his peers and his teacher while in high school to help improve the class. During and after his high school education, Zach took an internship and worked with TriMark SS Kemp. While there he worked on Progressive Field. Later, Zach accepted a job at TriMark Hockenbergs working on designs and MEP drawings. After a while he accepted a job at ATG USA working under Don Rasmusson to achieve his dream job.
