Meet the Nominees for Board of Trustees 2021 Robb Martin Robb Martin most recently served as the Organizational Effectiveness Specialist Consultant for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Beta Labs, and the Nuclear Fuels Group of First Energy. He is also the owner of MindShift Coaching and Consulting, working with corporate clients throughout OH, PA, IN, and MI. He also serves as a senior lecturer in the Management Department at The University of Akron, Kent State and Slippery Rock. He previously served as the Executive Director and COO of The Chapel. Educationally, Robb has an executive MBA from Kent State University and a 2nd degree from Case Western Reserve University in Positive Organizational Development and Change. He and his wife, Paula, live in Green and attend the Green Campus. They also have two married-adult sons and six grandchildren. John Rasnick John Rasnick is a partner in the law firm of Hanna, Rasnick, Evanchan, Palmisano, Hobson & Fox, LLC. He has served on the Board of Trustees at The Chapel in the past as well as the Search Committee. He currently serves the Stewardship Development Department of The Chapel and is a board member of Emmanuel Christian Academy. He and his wife, Janelle, live in Uniontown and attend the Green Campus. Jon Strong Jon Strong has attended The Chapel in Akron since 1977 where he was baptized at the age of 20. Jon met his wife Jill of 38 years while attending the Chapel’s college ministry. They have three children, three grandchildren, (and one the way, May 2021) all of whom live in the area. Jon’s work history comes from the technology industry with more than 30 years serving in leadership roles with both large enterprise and small company startups. For more than 17 years, Jon has been a principal and co-founder of a network engineering consulting business. Jon has been an active Chapel member serving in many children’s ministries from Kindergarten missions, Elementary, Jr. High and now High School. Jon has a heart for missions where he’s served in Mozambique as well as with the youth. Dr. Rick Rasper Dr. Rick Rasper has lived in Stow and has been married to his wife Ellen for 33 years with three grown sons who are active in The Chapel college ministry, Campus Focus. He has been in Podiatry practice in the Akron area for 30 years. In addition to his medical degree, he earned a Master of Biblical Studies degree from Ashland Seminary. He was bi-vocational for 12 years serving on staff in ministry at Riverwood Community Chapel and at The Church in the Valley while practicing Podiatry part-time. He currently serves at the Faithful Servants Care center in Tallmadge and is a board member with Pregnancy Solutions ministry in Akron. His ministry interests include the areas of prayer, care, outreach and evangelism. Rick and his family attend the Akron Campus.
