AOC PRESIDENT INTRODUCTION
With equal energy and vision, the AOC serves as the global leader in advocating for electronic
warfare capabilities across all lines of development, alongside a refreshingly new and expanded role
in the related electromagnetic operations/spectrum and cyber specialties. AOC EW Europe provides
a unique opportunity for those engaged across the sphere of EW, SIGINT, C4ISR and Cyber EM
Activities (CEMA) to meet, cultivate relationships and openly discuss current challenges.
AOC EW London is a global conference and exhibition with more nations attending than any other
EW event. The ambitious and comprehensive conference programme addresses the theme of
"Advancing EW and Electromagnetic Operations Together" and I think the last word is particularly important right now.
It will place an emphasis on how threats, concepts and capabilities are evolving with the subtext of examining hybrid
warfare and what it means for EW, alongside the impact of big data, technology developments, directed energy weapons
and lasers across the defense lines of development. It could not be a timelier or more appropriate theme for such a global
gathering of EW leaders, war fighters, experts and industry as are here in London. As nations re-focus on contingency
operations after well over a decade of counter-insurgency, there are many challenges and opportunities for governments,
the military, academia, science and technology and industry. For me, it's always about the state of the art and science of the
possible; that challenges are really opportunities, and collaborative partnering is critical. From an AOC perspective, it's about
advocacy and education, underpinned by communications. And so London finds itself at the crucial nexus of enabling each
and every one of these tenets through the technical conference and exhibition. I expect each participant to contribute to
bringing the future EW concepts into fruition, defining the next generation of electromagnetic warfare.
I am a huge proponent of collaboration and communications, and AOC EW Europe offers you a unique experience
to have meaningful dialogue and develop valuable, multi-lateral EW partnerships.
Lisa K. Frugé-Cirilli President, Association of Old Crows (AOC)
EW EUROPE 2017
The 17th annual AOC EW Europe conference and exhibition will take place at Olympia London from 6-8 June 2017. AOC EW Europe brings together all those involved with the electronic warfare sector for a 2 day conference and an industry display area presenting the opportunity to meet with over 65 leading companies in the sector.
The PLATH Intelligence Workshop precedes the AOC EW Europe conference on 6 June. The workshop offers a unique platform for the international community to exchange new ideas and insights on COMINT & EW.
