64B9-14.001 Definitions- There was discussion on whether or not to include a CNA in the definition for “unlicensed assistive personnel”. No action was taken.
Dr. Denker made a motion to open up rule making on the discussed rule changes and allow counsel to file the changes. Motion passed unanimously.
Ms. Clark let the Board know that they had been served by Carleen Healthcare and that a rule challenge has been filed.
D. Prosecution Services Unit- Ms. Green gave her report. A motion was made by Kirkpatrick to allow PSU to continue to prosecute the cases that are year and older. Motion passed unanimously.
E. Executive Director- Mr. Baker reported that he was re-elected as a Director at Large with NCSBN. He announced that Ms. Allison Dudley was chosen as the new Bureau Chief for HCPR.
Mr. Baker also reported his and Ms. Sutton-Johnson’s attendance at the QUIN Council Meeting. He also reported that Ms. Sutton-Johnson gave a Laws and Rules course at the FNA meeting.
Mr. Baker announced that there would be a new vacancy in the Board office for a Nurse Consultant position and a new Regulatory Supervisor position in the CNA Unit.
He reminded the Board members that the Agenda Survey was emailed out, please participate and that Elections will be held at the December Board meeting.
