• The Problem○ Companies are collecting troves of data on individuals without

the owners’ knowledge or benefit (e.g. online companies selling your data to advertisers).

○ This is a bad deal for customers because they do not get any monetary benefit, but also creates security risks (e.g. the Facebook / Cambridge Analytica scandal)

• Horizen Provides consumers complete control over their data○ HorizenCash aims to use zk-SNARK cryptography to keep your data

secure and private whilst providing the option to selectively disclose and monetise your content.

○ Selective disclosure means you can either share your data with businesses for a fee, or keep your data completely private.

Future Challenges - Geeks to the Masses

UsabilityCryptocurrencies are currently too complicated for mainstream adoption. We need to massively simplify UI/UX with “Apple like” wallets and applications.

UtilityCryptocurrencies aren’t yet useful enoughto spike the interest of many people. We need to strive to create real utility.

All it will take is one elegantly designed “killer app” to bring crypto from the geeks to the masses and we believe that we’re the right people to do that!
