A cat’s mane for your little lion. You may have to adjust gauge or pattern according to yarn, fabric elasticity and your cat’s head size. It is recommended to measure up to the cat as you go along.

Increase sectionCO 3 sts.1: k2: k1, YO, k2.3: k4: k1, m1, k2, m1, k1.

5 - 10: k.11: k1, m1, k4, m1, k1.12 - 13: k.14: k1, m1, k6, m1, k1.15 - 16: k.17: k5, put 5 sts on a piece of waste yarn or safety pin, turn.18: k4, m1, k1.19 - 20: k.21: k1, m1, k5.22 - 23: k.Break yarn, put the 5 sts on hold back onto the needle, join yarn, knit 6 rows through these 5 sts that were on hold.Continue knitting through the rest of the stitches to join both sections.24: k.25: k11, m1, k1.26: k.
