Proposal of Credit Information Systems Act (CISA) and the Payments Systems Act (PSA), both of which are legislations that are deemed to have an impact on the proliferation of e-commerce in the Philippines.
The proposed CISA will organize a credit information system with a central credit information entity at its core. The sharing and dissemination of information in the system will give lenders the ability to more accurately determine good borrowers, manage risks better, increase volume of lending, and minimize dependence on collaterals for extension of credit.
the CISA is seen to help the e-commerce industry through the possible increase of credit cards in the country, which will give more local Filipinos opportunity to transact payments online.

merchants need to be serious about seeing
their e-commerce initiatives through,
particularly in terms of marketing.
merchants tend to think that once they are
online, customers will come, not realizing that
they need effective marketing programs to let
the public know about their e-commerce
capabilities.
