• City Deal means financial viability pre and post 2015

Hub’s growth start up offer• Intensive programme of support for those establishing/growing a business
• Delivered by a team of experts who have been through it themselves
• Support available includes :-
– Initial 1 day workshop to explore enterprise delivered throughout Greater Manchester.
– High impact master classes covering topics such social media, accessing finance, taking a product to market, marketing understanding finance, selling and networking
– One to one support to launch & grow the business
– Particular help and support to access finance
– Specific start up networking events and opportunities on a monthly basis

Growth MentoringDelivered by ‘Business People for Business People’ and provides one-to-one mentoring support that will help leaders of growth businesses achieve their professional goals.
What makes the Business Growth Hub Mentoring different • The hand picked bank of mentors is very diverse coming from a multitude
of sectors and back grounds.• The mentee gets intense support from a mentoring advisor to prepare
them for their journey. • The mentoring match is conducted on an individual case.• The mentoring journey is managed by the mentoring team.• A chance to ask the expert – a bank of top flight business people that are
offering their time to answer specialist questions.

Growth Support
Benefits to the Client:
• Strategic development, planning & support for Client businesses
• Integrated support starting from a Shared Diagnostic with anticipated output results/summary (agreed with Client).
• ALL areas considered: Finance/Marketing/Operations/Recruitment, etc.
• Develop the diagnostic into an on-going, developmental plan e.g. Business Plan (for expansion, spin-outs), strategy documents (with timescales & budgets) for areas such as Marketing, NPD, Change Management, etc, or Growth Manager face-face consultancy.
The Growth Support service will aim to fill a current gap in the market for a cohesive & strategic business support package for businesses that have the required Growth rates. All activity will be planned and based from an outline Scoping document, created, developed and agreed with the Client from a face-face meeting.

•Raise awareness of available support by sign posting to specialist support organisations.•Work with SEs and partners to agree on a universal citywide method to measure and translate social value.•Work towards helping Salford become recognised nationally as a Social Enterprise City. •Hold regular events either in the format of ‘social enterprise forums’ used in this project or in the form of action learning sets exploring solutions to issues faced by local SEs.•Raise the profile of Salford’s SEs and raise levels of understanding of social enterprise throughout the City.•Encourage mutual trade between the region’s SEs.•Work with existing business support providers to ensure that their services are improved, adapted and developed to effectively meet the needs of SEs, particularly those organisations offering start-up support, financial/funding advice and help to trade internationally.•Seek to influence local government policy on behalf of SEs.
