Annual ConferenceThe ACA’s Annual Conference features a comprehensive programme of technical papers, technical group forums, an exhibition, the opportunity to network and debate with industry leaders and international experts, as well as offering sponsorship and promotional opportunities. Information, Technical Papers & LibraryMembers can access through the ACA website over 4,500 conference papers. Books and journals on corrosion and corrosion control can also be accessed at libraries in Melbourne and Auckland.

AwardsThe ACA offers several awards annually for excellence in Corrosion Technology. The Corrosion Medal is the premier

award of the ACA and is presented to persons who have demonstrated international achievement in the field of corrosion technology. The Arthur Kennett Memorial Award, Marshall Fordham Best Research Paper Award and the David Whitby Best Review Paper Award are awards based on technical papers presented at the Annual Conference or published in Corrosion & Materials. Research and best industry practice are encouraged by a number of other awards.

ACA Foundation LimitedACA Foundation Ltd. exists for the purpose of advancing corrosion mitigation through education by awarding and conducting; scholarships and bursaries, awards for academic excellence, future leader development within the corrosion industry and special projects to the broader community throughout Australasia.

In the case of Individual or Student member applications, the acknowledgement applies to said individual member or student member both at the time of the application and in the future.

Members are diverse and multi-disciplinary, including engineers, technicians, consultants, managers, coating specialists, contractors, researchers, suppliers, students and more. Course subjects covered include corrosion technology, corrosion and protection of reinforced concrete, protective coatings and cathodic protection.

The ACA Technical Groups provide a structure for technical activities within a segment of industry or technical expertise. ACA Technical Groups unite members from diverse professional backgrounds in common purpose to maintain currency of technical knowledge, to disseminate information to ACA membership, to provide an open forum for discussion, debate and support between members and to assist in driving the development of Standards relevant to its Industry.

Annual ConferenceThe ACA’s Annual Conference features a comprehensive programme of technical papers, technical group forums, an exhibition, the opportunity to network and debate with industry leaders and international experts, as well as offering sponsorship and promotional opportunities. The Annual Conference also includes a great social programme of events for delegates and partners.

Technical EventsEach year a calendar of events is programmed to include a seminar series and technical group meetings. The technical group meetings provide an open forum for discussion, debate and support within a segment of industry or technical expertise.

PublicationsCorrosion & Materials is published bi-monthly and distributed to ACA members and other interested parties. Each issue features a range of news, information, articles, profiles and peer reviewed technical papers.

Branch MeetingsEach Branch of the ACA holds regular technical meetings designed to educate, stimulate debate and provide an opportunity to network with corrosion colleagues in your local area.

Corrosion Control DirectoryLocated on the ACA website, suppliers of corrosion control products and services have the opportunity to list their company information and contact details in the ‘Corrosion Control Directory’. The directory is designed to assist those seeking to locate an expert in the various fields of corrosion prevention in their local area.

Information, Technical Papers & LibraryMembers can access through the ACA website over 4,500 conference papers. Books and journals on corrosion and corrosion control can also be accessed at libraries in Melbourne and Auckland.

AwardsThe ACA offers several awards annually for excellence in Corrosion Technology. The Corrosion Medal is the premier

award of the ACA and is presented to persons who have demonstrated international achievement in the field of corrosion technology. The Arthur Kennett Memorial Award, Marshall Fordham Best Research Paper Award and the David Whitby Best Review Paper Award are awards based on technical papers presented at the Annual Conference or published in Corrosion & Materials. Research and best industry practice are encouraged by a number of other awards.

ACA Foundation LimitedACA Foundation Ltd. exists for the purpose of advancing corrosion mitigation through education by awarding and conducting; scholarships and bursaries, awards for academic excellence, future leader development within the corrosion industry and special projects to the broader community throughout Australasia.

The Scholarship Fund of ACA Foundation Limited has tax deductibility status and relies on donations from companies and individuals to fund its initiatives.

Membership Application DeclarationI hereby apply for membership of The Australasian Corrosion Association Inc (ACA) and by signing this declaration acknowledge that I have reviewed and am bound to observe the ACA constitution, by-laws, published policies and Members’ Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

The above documents are available for download from the ACA web site at www.corrosion.com.au or in print form from the ACA’s Australasian office.

In the case of Individual or Student member applications, the acknowledgement applies to said individual member or student member both at the time of the application and in the future.

In the case of Corporate memberships, the acknowledgement shall be signed by the principal corporate representative and applies to said principal corporate representative and nominees both at the time of the application and in the future.
