Committee Purpose & Mission

From Club Constitution...

“The objects of the Club are to organise and encourage the

playing of rugby union football and to afford members the means of social intercourse and recreation”

From Club Chairman...

“Maintain the Clubs stability by increasing membership across all playing & non-playing sections, increase

member involvement in the clubs running, increase

awareness of BRFC within the community”

• We are ‘ONE’ Committee operating together to benefit the members & community

• The full committee owns ALL action items. As committee volunteers we all contribute to deliver change, and resolve challenges

• We all do our best to deliver, but there will be times we can’t deliver or meet a date, again we ALL pitch in to help, no single person is left to face the fire alone, fingers are never pointed at a sole person, they can only ever be pointed at the committee

• We fall together, we rise together

• Integrity, Honesty, Visibility, Positive Behaviour, Positive Chat

• We keep it ‘simple, and we keep it ‘social’

• Club President– Figurehead of the Club

– Leads the VP section of the Club

• Club Chairman– The chairman is responsible for the overall management of the club and

making sure the officers carry their roles properly. He has the casting vote on all contentious matters

• Volunteer Co-ordinator– To help find volunteers to help in the running of the club and club events. To make sure these volunteers are used in

an appropriate manner and receive rewards for their efforts

Playing Roles• Coaching Co-ordinator

– Develop and oversee execution of long term club coaching development plan

– Awareness of RFU & County Coaching Support & Training courses

– Establish pool of coaching support which can assist teams as required

– Act a contact point for all club coaches, coordinating assistance where required

– Develop, agree, implement and oversee the overall playing management structure

– Support coaches, captains and other support staff in executing strategy
