Precautions 1. Use proper stacking procedures to ensure sufficient stability of the materials.

2. Exercise caution when walking on wet membrane. Membranes are slippery when wet.

3. Care must be exercised when working close to a roof edge when the surrounding area is snow covered.

4. FleeceBack membrane rolls must be covered and elevated to keep dry prior to installation. If the fleece gets wet use a wet vac system to help remove moisture from the fleece.

5. Prolonged job site storage at temperatures in excess of 32°C may affect product shelf life.

6. In warm, sunny weather, shade the tape end of the rolls until ready to use.

PS 76mm Secur Tape™

Product Data

Pressure-Sensitive Securtape™ Simplify your next EPDM installation with their Pressure Sensitive 76mm (3") SecurTAPE. SecurTAPE offers uniform width and adhesive thickness and is manufactured using a clear poly film for application ease.

Intended Uses Designed for use with RubberBond EPDM Roofing Systems, SecurTAPE is used in conjunction with HP-250 EPDM primer to bond EPDM membranes together in the field for long-term splice strength. (Note. Not required when using Factory Applied Tape membrane.)

Features and Benefits • Available in 76mm wide by 30.5m -long rolls • Manufactured using a clear poly film • Excellent long-term splice strength • Greater peel and shear strength than other tapes available in today’s marketplace.

Application 1. Remove dirt and excess dust from the splice area by wiping with a clean rag. If there is a heavy layer of dirt present, clean the splice area thoroughly with Weathered Membrane Cleaner. This process is essential on membrane that has been exposed for a number of weeks. 2. Mark the bottom sheet with a crayon at the edge of the top sheet along the entire splice length as a guide. 3. Application of HP-250 EPDM Primer: a) PRE-KLEENED™ Membrane: Roller-apply the primer to the area of the membrane to be seamed with a short nap-length paint roller. The coated area will be free of globs or puddles.

4. The entire surface where the tape will be applied must be cleaned and primed. The adhesive will not adhere to dusted/dirty surfaces. Any residual surface contamination will be detrimental to the bond strength of the adhesive.

5. Allow the Primer to dry until it does not transfer to a dry finger touch.

6. Install SecurTAPE immediately after the Primer flashes off to minimize potential dust contamination and promote adhesion in colder weather.

7. Unroll approximately 1 m of SecurTAPE. Align the tape with a marked line and press tape down to bottom sheet using firm, even hand pressure. Continue for the length of the splice. Tape roll ends should be overlapped 25 mm. Allow top sheet to rest on poly backing after application. A minimum of 3mm of tape must extend beyond the splice edge. A continuous piece of SecurTAPE must be used at all field and factory splice intersections.

8. Rolling the SecurTAPE with a 2"-wide hand roller after application to the primed substrate will significantly reduce the frequency of air blisters in the completed field seam.

9. Pull the poly backing from the SecurTAPE beneath the top sheet and allow the top sheet to fall freely onto the exposed tape.

10. Press top sheet onto tape using firm, even hand pressure across the splice towards the splice edge.

11. Immediately roll the splice with a 2"-wide roller using positive pressure. Roll across the splice edge, not parallel to it. 12. To achieve proper adhesion of the SecurTAPE when jobsite temperatures fall below 5°C, the following steps must be followed: a. Heat the primed area of the bottom membrane sheet with a hot-air gun as the SecurTAPE is applied and pressed into place. b. The tape must be rolled with a 2"-wide hand roller prior to removal of the release liner when temperatures fall below -7°C. c. Position the top sheet and strip the release liner per normal procedure. d. Prior to rolling the splice area with a 2"-wide steel hand roller, apply heat to the topside of the membrane with a hot-air gun. The heated surface should be hot to the touch. Be careful not to burn or blister the membrane.

Precautions 1. Avoid prolonged contact with skin. In case of contact with skin, thoroughly wash affected area with soap and water. 2. Prolonged jobsite storage temperatures in excess 32°C may affect product shelf life. 3. In warm, sunny weather, keep SecurTAPE rolls in their box or in a shaded area until ready to use. 4. Storage and use of SecurTAPE at temperatures below 4°C will result in a loss of tape tack and, in extreme cases, will result in no bond to the substrate. Overnight storage must be available to keep the temperature of the SecurTAPE at a minimum of 15°C. Hot boxes for jobsite storage must be provided to maintain a minimum tape temperature of4°C.

Anti-Back Up Roof Drain Product Data

RubberBond Anti-Back Up Drain Universal anti-back up drain is one of the best means of connecting roof systems with 68mm rainwater pipes (standard domestic UK size) on flat roofs, gutters, domestic & commercial buildings. This has a high resistance to UV light, ozone, movement and cracking. The stem piece of the unit has two or more circular ribs which face outwards which when forced into the drain pipe prevent backing-up and form a perfect seal. The seal rings are compressed upwards when inserted into the drainpipe and thanks to this pressure fit they guarantee optimal seal within the pipe. The passage of water vapour or backing up of liquids into the roof system and particularly into the insulation is thus eliminated. Intended Uses Outlet for domestic type roofs with internal drains connecting to 68mm downpipe. The outlet is manufactured with a smooth flange allowing for greater bond strength to the EPDM detail than a regular ridged outlet. Features and Benefits • Square, smooth flange 285mm x 285mm for adhering membrane and PS Tape to. • 185mm outlet pipe with round flange, which when pushed solidly home into pipe ensures there is no backing up of water between the outlet and the inside of the pipe • Internal drain O55mm. • Leaf/gravel guard.

Application* 1 Install the outlet into the roof and mechanically fix prior to installation of membrane. Cut the flange back to leave a 50-75mm circle around the outlet hole. 2. Adhere membrane to the roof and over the top of the outlet. Do not apply deck adhesive to the outlet flange. Cut the membrane out, use the outline of the outline of the drain flange as a cutting guide. 3. Apply RubberBond HP-250 Primer to the outlet flange and to 50-75mm of the EPDM membrane. 4. Install a section of Uncured Flashing Tape to seal the outlet to the membrane ensuring a minimum of 50mm overlap onto the EPDM membrane’ 5. Cut the centre hole out of the Uncured Flashing and press the excess tape down and adhere to the inside of the outlet. 6. Insert leaf guard or gravel grate.

Paving Supports Product Data

RubberBond Paving Supports Quickly and easily install a paving or decking system to the roofing surface. The paving supports are placed directly to the membrane without the use of adhesives or fasteners of any sort. These supports quickly and easily resolve problems arising from the installation of a paving system. The support consists of a high resistance base which is placed directly on to the waterproofing cap sheet. The paving slabs are then placed directly onto the supports without the use of concrete or adhesives of any sort. The base is fitted with guides which position and anchor perfectly the paving slabs and which at the same time act as expansion joints. The base of the support is made of HDPE and its shape allows rainwater to drain and flow off easily on the underlying waterproofing membrane, thus also eliminating any chance of ponding caused by the supports themselves trapping water. All of the supports are modular and can be stacked so as to achieve the height or thickness of gap underneath the paving desired, and eliminating any unevenness of the roof deck itself. The supports are designed to eliminate cracking and damaging of the waterproofing membrane caused by expansion and contraction of the paving or damage caused by walking on the paving. Over and above these advantages it is also a very quick and cost effective means of installing the paving. The paving can be readily removed and replaced should it become damaged or should inspection of the waterproofing be necessary, without any damage at all.. Intended Uses Support for paving slabs or timber decking joists to create a roof top terrace.

Features and Benefits • Circular pad Ø145mm with a 15mm lift, also 3mm flange available for levelling of slabs. • Fully interlocking when stacking allowing for a range of heights, steps or slopes to leave a level surface. • Bases fitted with guides which position and anchor the slabs or decking rafters. These guides allow drainage gap for the slabs and allow for expansion between sections. Application* 1 Install the RubberBond roof and details as per specification. 2. Sweep the roof surface to remove any and all debris. 3. Lay the slabs so that each disc supports the corners of 4 slabs. Where they abut walls or steps the support disc are easily divided into halves or quarters. 4. All cut edges of slabs should be at edges that abut upstands.

Weathered Membrane Cleaner Product Data

Weathered Membrane Cleaner Simplify your next EPDM installation with Weathered Membrane Cleaner. Weathered Membrane Cleaner is used to clean both new and in-service EPDM membrane. It helps to loosen and remove dirt and other contaminants from the surface of the membranes and leaves a suitable surface for the subsequent application of primer. Weathered Membrane Cleaner should be used when preparing an adhesive splice. Intended Uses Weathered Membrane Cleaner is used to clean both new and in-service EPDM membrane. Features and Benefits • Easily removes dirt and other contaminants from EPDM membranes • Prepares EPDM membrane for application of primer, adhesives and tape • Prepares aged or contaminated TPO membrane for seaming

Application* 1. Remove as much loose material as possible from the membrane surface where the adhesive or pressure sensitive product will be applied by brooming or wiping the area with a dry rag. Extreme conditions of accumulated dirt may require detergent and water cleaning (rinse area thoroughly with CLEAN water and allow to dry). 2. Saturate a clean HP Splice Wipe (or equivalent) with Weathered Membrane Cleaner. SCRUB the area in a circular motion. Continue to clean the area, changing wipes frequently, until the surface is a consistent matte black colour with no streaking. Additional cleaning is required at factory seams (scrub parallel to the seam). Allow to dry. 3. Apply primer according to product instructions and/or roofing system specification. * REVIEW CURRENT SPECIFICATIONS AND DETAILS FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS.
