Dear MDP Families,
It has been such an amazing start to the school year here at Memphis Delta Prep. Our entire team is having so much fun working with and learning from your children. After a busy summer of building renovations, we are ready for another great year at MDP.
Thanks to everyone who has come to visit teachers and students and check out our cafeteria and the rest of the new building. We appreciate the patience and kindness as we all get used to the new bus routes, new car line, and the many new faces here at Memphis Delta Prep. Last year ended with amazing student growth and achievement, and we are excited to build on that this year.
I am grateful for all of our students and the happiness they bring to the building every day. It is a great honor to see so many smiling faces walk through the door each morning and leave each afternoon. We have the best team of teachers at Memphis Delta Prep, and it is a joy to teach alongside them every day.
As we start this second year at MDP, we look to build on the successes and learn from the challenges of year one. We are more confident in ever that we have something wonderful here. We have a group of students, teachers, and families that are committed to making MDP the best school in the country. Each day we commit to practicing, smiling, and growing.
I am so excited to see all of our families up at MDP visiting in classrooms and spending time in the building. Continue to read with our scholars at home, talk with our scholars about the things they are learning, and reach out to me and our teachers with anything you need. We are grateful for your support. Hope to see you soon.
Happiness and Education,Mr. McKenna
