Welcome NoteDear Colleagues,

On behalf of Middle East North Africa Committee for Research and Treatment in Multiple Sclerosis and its executive committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the Second MENACTRIMS Congress, which will take place from March 17th to 19th, 2016 in Amman, Jordan.

The congress aim is to provide a forum of excellence in MS education and research. Building on the collective efforts of the scientific committee, the meeting will deliver state-of-the-art presentations on MS by renowned international and regional keynote speakers. The content of the meeting includes up to date information on the latest treatments, clinical research, therapeutic strategies, imaging, epidemiology, differential diagnosis, risk factors, pregnancy, and much more.

The congress will convene over a two-day period to present major updates through plenary sessions, scientific symposia and teaching courses. This year’s congress will also feature parallel sessions addressed to nurses in collaboration with the International Organization of MS Nurses (IOMSN) and the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC), and to regional MS societies in collaboration with the MS International Federation (MSIF). In

addition, the European Charcot Foundation will participate in the meeting for the first time through a scientific symposium.

The congress is also a great opportunity to meet and network with colleagues interested in the field of MS clinical care with more than 500 healthcare professionals from the MENA region expected to attend. We look forward to welcoming participants from all over the world to the lively cosmopolitan city of Amman.

Amman is a lively cosmopolitan fascinating city of contrasts – a unique blend of old and new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. Jordan is a land steeped in history and has truly world-class sights such as Petra (one of the seven wonders of the world), Wadi Rum, Jerash and the Dead Sea, which form part of the magic that is Jordan.

We very much look forward to welcoming you in Amman.

Yours Sincerely,

Bassem I. Yamout, MD, FAANMENACTRIMS President
