Mental Disorder Acting

• In small groups prepare a skit that demonstrates a mental disorder

• Do not say the name of the disorder in your skit – the class will try to guess it at the end

Possible Disorders…

• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)• Agoraphobia• Hypochondriasis• Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)• Bipolar Disorder• Paranoid Schizophrenia• Antisocial Personality Disorder• Any other disorder from the unit

• 1) Which disorder was the easiest to identify (other than your own)? Why?

• 2) Which disorder was the most difficult to identify? Why?

• 3) For whatever disorder you were assigned, explain possible causes for it using the biopsychosocial model
