MENTOR MOMS NEEDED

MOPS Moms4Moms is a volunteer ministry that engages in relationships with other moms. Mentoring helps. You don’t have to be a Bible scholar or a senior citizen to be a mentor Mom. You only have to love the Lord and have seen Him at work in your life, and be willing to share this with someone. God instructions us to invest in the next generation—they are the future of the church!

The Mentor Mom’s Role: • At MOPS, she brings perspective on mothering, womanhood and relationships, based on biblical principles and her own life experiences. Through teaching and one-on- one relationships, she communicates with vulnerability and honesty.• The Mentor is a mature woman with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She is able to mentor mothers of preschoolers, not because she has all the answers, but because she has put herself under God’s care. As one who has experienced many of the challenges that they now face, she offers encouragement and hope.

The Mentor Mom’s Responsibilities:• Attend MOPS meetings: — regularly plan, attend, participate. (approximately twice a month)• Attend Training — attend once monthly leadership meetings for training, support and fellowship.• Engage — observe moms in your group and reach out when there is a need for love, a listening ear or a hug, pursue a deeper, more personal relationship with a mom in need.

Mentor Mom’s desired qualifications:• An existing and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.• Desire to love, build a relationship with, and grow close to MOPS moms.• Willingness to participate in provided trainings.• Existing Involvement in a local church is desired. • Willingness to make a minimum of a one-year commitment to attend MOPS. • Complete and commit to the Mentor Covenant

Benefits of serving as a Mentor Mom at MOPS? • You will continue to grow in your relationship with God as you listen to and trust His leading. • You get to put your faith into action! You will make new friends! • You get to hang out with precious babies! • You get to model the love of Christ in a very personal way and you may get to help a mom turn her life over to Christ. • You plant seeds of hope that will produce a harvest! • You get to serve side by side with other women who have a similar passion and serve at MOPS.

Join us for our 2016-2017 MOPS season! We would love to have you! Please contact Frances Bingham at 702.808.3008 or [email protected]
