Youth ages 9-17 in the Inland empire and Pomona Valley Areas
Who do we service?
Mentoring relationship with volunteer from the community (18+)
Minimum of 1 year Commitment 4-8 hours a month Ongoing trainings Match support Free monthly outings for matches
What do we provide?

It is the policy of the Reach Out Mentoring Program that the mentoring staff will make monthly phone calls or personal contact with all parties of each match including the mentor, mentee, and parent/guardian.

It is the policy of the Reach Out Mentoring Program to protect the confidentiality of its participants and their families.
As a Mentor, you are required to keep confidential the conversations that the Mentee shares with you.

This includes the Mentee's family members (foster or biological). Please be advised that your Mentee might share information with you that they feel uncomfortable having others hear about.
It is important that you maintain this trust, unless the Mentoring Coordinator determines that a specific issue must be divulged to outside professionals.

It is the policy of the Reach Out Mentoring Program to allow mentors to transport mentees in their own private vehicles. The program coordinator must ensure that all mentors meet the following criteria prior to transporting the mentee:◦ Valid driver’s license ◦ Proof of auto insurance
Transportation
It is the policy of the Reach Out Mentoring Program to encourage mentor/mentee visits within their own community and limit overnight visits. However, overnight visits and out-of-town trips are permitted under the following conditions:
• Between six months and one year, overnight visits and out-of-town travel may occur only with approval from both the program coordinator and parent/guardian.
• Out-of-town travel may occur only with the accompaniment of the parent/guardian or other person designated by the parent/guardian.

It is the policy of the Reach Out Mentoring Program that all staff, mentors, and other representatives of the program must report any suspected child abuse and/or neglect of agency clients or program participants immediately.
All suspected reports must be made to appropriate state and/or local authorities.
