Course structure (Hands-on techniques):
Day 1-4:• Isolation of genomic DNA from human blood• To perform Agarose gel electrophoresis
• Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
Day 5-8:• ELISA• SDS-PAGE
Day 9-13:
• Microbiology Techniques (Media preparation, growth curve and CFU calculation, competent cell preparation, agar plate preparation, bacterial streaking)
Day 14-15:• Troubleshooting for the experiments learnt.
• Open discussion over scope of Biological Sciences
• Certificate distribution, group photo and
networking.

for Masters studentsCourse fee: Rs. 5,000
Course structure (Hands-on techniques):

• RNA isolation from mammalian cells• To perform Agarose gel electrophoresis• Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
Day 5-8:• ELISA

Protein methods:
SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, ELISA
Microbiology methods:
Growth curve estimation, CFU calculation, competent cell preparation, bacterialtransformation
Cell biology methods:
Mammalian cell culture propagation, freezing thawing of cells, cell viability assays, slidepreparation for confocal microscopy
Bioinformatics methods:DNA and protein sequence analysis, homology
modeling, sequence retrieval, using common online analysis tools.
