AUCTION RULES
1. All prizes must be claimed by 11:30 p.m. on Saturday May 1st, 2010. Arrangements for donated services or for specific items must be worked out between the purchaser and donor directly as indicated with the prize.
2. All sales are final. All items have been donated to the St. James School Auction and are sold by it, not the donor. Please do not contact the donor for refunds or exchanges. St. James School does not assume any risk, liability, or responsibility for the authenticity of the authorship of any property identified in this catalog.
3. St. James School warrants neither the quality nor the value of the items or services. All items are sold in “as is” condition. Descriptions and values are approximate and cannot be taken as a warranty.
4. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year of the date of purchase.
LIVE AUCTION RULES
1. The auctioneer has the right to determine the increments on each item. Certain items will not be sold below the stated minimum.
2. The auctioneer determines the highest bidder. 3. The auctioneer has the right to withdraw any item at any time before or during
the auction.
SILENT AUCTION RULES 1. Upon arriving at the auction, each person will be given a paddle number. The
bidder is to write the paddle number, name and amount of bid on the bid sheet next to the item for all Silent Auction bids. Each increase shall equal or exceed the stated minimum increment. A signature and paddle number is a legal contract to buy.
2. An announcement will be made ten minutes prior to the closing of the Silent Auction.
3. The highest bid at the closing time will be circled by a committee official and will constitute the winning bid. The Auction Committee Chairperson has final authority over any dispute in the Silent Auction.
4. Some gift certificates have restrictions as to time, money and numbers of persons. Please check this at the time you bid.
All items must be paid in full using cash, check or a Visa charge after being awarded to the highest bidder.
Auction items may vary from those listed. Please be aware when bidding on items, that in some cases,
donations have been bundled together to make themed prizes. Some restrictions may apply to individual donations,
such as time limits, within a bundled prize package.
