The Muslim community
worldwide is plagued
with challenges that oten
overwhelm the strongesto believers. However, as
we know, there can be no
courage without ear. It
was with a sincere desire to
overcome this ear, not only
or our generation, but also
the next, that I embarked
on a mission to understand
the real purpose o our
existence in the 21st
century, hoping in thisprocess to grow in benet
and value by the permission
o Allah.
The Mercy Mission
Movement, then, began as
a search or the purpose
o the 21st Century Muslim
and continues today as a
relentless pursuit o a noblevision: to achieve “a world
where every Muslim can
live aithully to his belie,
building exemplary Islamic
communities that benet
humanity.”
Beginning in Australia and
ocusing on the seed o
education Mercy Mission
has, by the innite grace
o Allah, spread across theglobe, aspiring to impact
on action. This movement
began in Sydney, Australia,
and has taken root in
the UK, South Arica,
India, Canada, Malaysia,
Bangladesh, Indonesia,
France and we are looking
orward to launching Qatar
and Sri Lanka in 2013,insha’Allah.
Let us remember however,
that this exercise would
have been utile had it not
been or the great people
that joined us. Wherever
I took the message o this
vision, the best o people
signed up to be part o
it. Until today, our teamconsists o what I believe
to be some o the most
dedicated, passionate,
and charismatic group o
members that any such
organisation has seen.
Driven by one purpose,
united in values and
principles and ocused
towards one clear andnoble vision, the team
behind this movement
oers a tremendous service
to the Ummah through its
impact driven programmes
and projects.
I would like to take this
opportunity welcome you
on board the Mercy Mission
movement.
Dr Tawque Chowdhury

CHAIRMAN’SMESSAGELittle can explain the journey that rstconceived the idea and thinking behind theMercy Mission movement and the blessings

We have a duty to Allah and His
Messenger to support His religion
and uplit their mention. As a result,
we must support Muslims around
the world to return back to theiraith and help them build exemplary
Islamic communities in order to
ulll the greater goal o beneting
humanity. This is the path o being
bestowed with leading humanity.
When our work is done and our
ultimate vision is achieved, the
world will be a completely dierent
place. Islam will never be snubbed,
nor will Muslims be harmedexcept by due right. Muslims will
be o the highest level o piety
and completely condent o their
religion. They will not be dependent
on anyone save their Lord and they
will give selfessly to the needy.
Muslims will be the most admired
people or their aith, knowledge,
achievement, excellence and
character. They will be part o
an illustrious and exemplarycommunity o believers that serve
humanity’s needs. Mankind will
come into Islam in large numbers
or the excellence o the example o
Muslims.
At that time, no Muslim should
live on this earth except that he is
able to access a product, service
or someone rom Mercy Mission.
By the permission o Allah, TheMost Merciul, Mercy Mission will
be a movement, a conglomerate o
institutions and corporations that
infuences others, and its ethos o
knowledge and action is desired by
all.
“A world where every Muslim is able to live aithully totheir belie, building an exemplary Islamic community thatbenets humanity.”

Every activity which Mercy Mission seeks toundertake contributes towards achieving one ormore o its core objectives:
OBJECTIVES& ACTIVITIES
• ToincreasePiety
• ToincreaseCondence
• ToincreaseSelf-suciency• ToincreaseSelessness
Ensuring that all activities contribute to the above objectives allows
Mercy Mission to concentrate on implementing ocused initiatives,
which to make a real dierence in our communities.
With the weight o these objectives our activities have been
increasingly responding to both the educational and social
needs o the communities we seek to serve. This has led to the
organisation remodelling itsel to only work in only in two areas:

Kimberly accepted Islam

lives happily with her husband
and child. When she accepted

both physically and emotionally.
One such incident was when
her brother and mother held
her down and orced alcohol
into her mouth to drink. Shedecided it was time to leave her

this support she would have
remained in a dangerous

New Muslim Care, Women’s Resource Centre, and Mercy MissionMadinah thereore were in a strong nancial position to carry orward.
