presents its last concert in the 2009-2010concert series tonight, March 19, 7:30pmat the Civic Centre.
I Tromboni was formed in 1999 whenfive of Canada's finest young trombonistsdedicated themselves to the promotionand performance of live music for thetrombone quintet. Their idea was to cre-ate a virtuoso ensemble capable of reach-ing diverse audiences by combiningunique arrangements of both well-knownand new music in a stylish and humorousway. The group plays baroque, classical,
jazz, romantic music, as well as contem-porary and popular styles.
I Tromboni Neal Bennett, JimTranquilla, Francois Levesque, GregPassmore & Alexander Gagnier alsodoes an educational component, and they
will play at MSS during the day, andinvite some of the band students to playwith them at the Civic Centre.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for sen-iors & students, available at BlacksPharmacy & at the door.
