Online applications are available for new students applying for Transitional Kinder-garten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) through 12th grade. Tell your friends and neighbors! Our Admissions team would love to meet them and give a tour. Friday tours are hosted every week while school is in session from 9-10:30am during the months of October-May.

Sign Up Now!Chess Class for beginners to advanced from 1st to 5th grade. This is our 2019 Win-ter Session with a registration fee of $195. Classes meet on Friday from 3:30-4:30pm. Build your skills while cultivating your Critical Thinking, Self Confidence, Mental Discipline, Observation Skills, Decision Making, Sportsmanship, Leadership, and So-cialization Skills. Golf Squad for Maranatha Christian School students is offered during your school’s Fall/Spring Semesters. It is a six to twelve week, after school club that meets once a week for an hour with a golf industry professional. All participating families receive weekly emails detailing what students will be doing and learning in class. All essentials are provided during class (Golf Squad Handbook, training equip-ment, fitted golf clubs, etc.). CodeFu for K-2nd Grade and 3rd to 5th Grade. CodeFu is the Premium, Af-ter-School Coding, Programming & Computer Science Enrichment, Immersion Pro-gram, & Franchise designed by former Teachers and Software Engineers to provide TK - 8th grade with extended education in Computer Science within the comfort of their schools. After-School Tennis for Ages 5-10. Using age appropriate equipment, we teach kids to develp court awareness, timing and hand-eye coordiantion on a youth-size court which we create on your school’s playground. Classes are divided by age level into 6 kids per coach for instructional purposes. Let’s Cook! is a fun, engaging and completely hands-on cooking program for chil-dren of all ages. Children will learn how to read and understand recipes and make delectable winter dishes from scratch using locally grown and seasonal produce. Children will receive a personallized cookbook as well. A SOFT LANDING! MCS’ science teachers definitely think of ways to ignite students’ minds when it comes to learning. In Mrs. Vo-gel’s science class 8th grade students were asked to create a shock absorbing structure for a ‘lunar lander’. They were given a variety of materials to design their structures. The astronaut was represented by a bouncy ball and the lander was a plastic cup. The cup had to remain upright and the ball had to stay in the cup. By the pictures, the students enjoyed this project!

The 7th grade students also had a unique science lesson learning about reproduction and growth, spe-cifically how genes code for various traits. They were instructed to create ‘Bloops’ creatures based off a chromosome and a set of specific combination of alleles. We love how creative the students were in determining the traits of their ‘Bloops’ and it looks like the class enjoyed it too!

Sophia was recognized by her JH classmates this week for her appearance at the International Dance Organizations World Tap Championships in Riesa, Germany. She auditioned and was selected to be part of the USA team that competed from November 27-December 1. The competition included 20 other countries and Sophia competed in a duo, trio and small group. Sophia’s duo barely missed the finals and tied for 7th with another of Team USA’s duos. However, her trio and small group dances made it to the finals, an amazing feat! As a new part of Team USA this year, both dances were overwhelmingly accept-ed as a new style of tap dancing and they were both awarded silver medals. Great job Sophia!

Our Kindergarten class had their time to shine for the Elementary Chapel on Wednesday. As their smiles beamed from the stage, dressed in their Christmas best, they sang loud for all to hear. A special highlight was when a few of the High School students, using American Sign Language, led the kindergar-ten class in “Jesus Loves Me”. We saw lots of proud parents capturing memories that will last a lifetime!

Ms. Lessel’s three year old class performed their Christmas Program, “Christmas Tree Story” to parents and family this week. They were greeted with jingle bells, songs, and a story as performed by their pre-school children. It was a sweet gathering to remind families of the true meaning of Christmas!
