The different types of messages will then be sent to parents via different contact means. (attendance and behavior are routed to this parent at work, while general messages go as emails only.)

Message Designer
• System Admin > Messenger > Message DesignerMessage Designer – Message Designer is used to format messages you wish to send out to Parents and Students, rather than staff members.
As with Staff Messenger, you can create templates should you have a message you wish to deliver frequently, or you can create a New Template. (Open Test Message and show formatting / saving options).

Message Builder
• System Admin > Messenger > Message Builder• Once you have designed your message, you will now use the Message
Builder to send the message. Union will send the message to everyone represented and of the filters you have selected. Intersection will send your message only to individuals represented in ALL of the filters selected.
Determine your filters, message subject, message type, delivery device and when to send the message.
You can test and preview the message before sending.

Teacher Messenger
• Failing GradesThe Failing Grades template is pre-formatted to notify parents of issues with student grades. Teacher can add their own comments, and determine whether they wish to use the progress Gradebook scores, or posted scores for delivery. In addition, they will determine which grades should be considered failing. They will also select which Task(s), Term(s) to include in the message. Finally, they will want to determine whether to allow repeat messages.

Teacher Messenger• Missing Assignments
The Missing Assignments template works very much like the Failing Grades template. This is preformatted, and looks at assignments that are past due, or flagged as missing in the teacher gradebook. Teachers can select assignments and add comments, if desired. They can review recipients, and preview the notice sent to parents. Missing assignments can also be automated at the school level by setting up the Missing Assignment Scheduler under System Administration > Messenger > Missing Assignment Scheduler
