Thankfulness

The life through the over time has translated me a

history, proving that the spirituality when lived with

responsibility ,perseverance and devotion, bring us

teachings which were very useful and important , in many

moments of my way, in search of self-knowledge and of

the real spiritual growth, always able to guide me and

encouraging me to continue my mission.

I thank all the love and wisdom messages given by

the Entities of Light of the Spiritual Umbanda Temple

Caboclo Pena Verde, they have transmitted me stimulus

words, persistence, peace feelings, reflection moments

and mainly in the orientation that we came in this plan to

help to sensitize more people, in search of peace, through

the brotherhood, humility, main fundamentals of

Umbanda.

I also thank who started all this way, my mother Ana

D’Orto, a special human being with great courage. Today

occupies her place as Spiritual Mentor with lots of light,

because since the beginning always treading ways with

many obstacles and adversity, she showed me

perseverance and prepared me to continue her mission

which was intended to us. My family, Silvio, Rodrigo,

Ricardo and Renata, my friend Rossana Di Natale that

always were by my side and they remained in faithful

harmony and unconditional support to my mission,

encouraging me for the excellence and growth of the

temple and for all of the people who made part of this

temple and make it until today. I can’t forget to detach the

figure of Rita Greco, idealizing of the cover of this work,

who kindly opened her collection of work providing us the

contained prints in this book.

Many are the friends that with me share the

difficulties we face in the conduction of the work, to

enumerate them could incur the risk to forget some of

them, but especially for the realization of this literary work,

I´d like to detach Carlos Feitosa, who with his dedication,

sensibility and effort, elaborated the texts, and made

possible the creation of this first work, one of the

aspirations of our regretful Spiritual Mentor.

I´m sure the biggest reward for all of the ones who

contributed for the creation of this work direct or indirectly

, will be the gratitude of being able to serve to others,

donating themselves with sincere help in all the moments

of their lives. During the reading of each of the contained

words in this work, open your heart and fell the strong

energy which naturally and in a spontaneous way springs

inside of each one, and when your minds listen to those

words that come from the supreme and wise

manifestation from our Greatest Master, Oxalá, and you

will see yourselves involved in only one syntony, and it

seems that this is a sign that you are already looking to

the world with the eyes of the spirit and the feeling of the

soul. That´s exactly the way Umbanda walks.

PRESENTATION

The spiritual Temple of Umbanda Caboclo Pena

Verde appeared from the objective and goals established

by the spiritual plan under Oxala’s orientation to the

Orixás by him designated, in the command that would

make the same consistent and solid. It has as main base

the development and the spiritual evolution in the practice

of charity and benevolence, in the appeal to the human

sensibility, transforming spirits in a way to improve the

essence of humanity. This will valorize and emphasize the

humanity in detriment of the material attachment and to

the influence of the evils which afflict the intimate of the

men, imposed by the selfishness which make the

insensitive and unbelievers.

The spiritual Temple of Umbanda Caboclo Pena

Verde has as motto the real practice of the good, unique

instrument that can fortify and progress the spirit, and

intensify the light, making these, propagators and

disseminators of the principles and concepts of the real

Umbanda .It has started even before of receiving this

name. Embryo by force of a spiritual guiding already

established in preceding lives as mission for its founder

Anna D’Orto and her carnal daughter Sônia Aparecida

Ruotolo.

Motivated by familiar reasons since the birthday of

her first-born, in function of the strong mediumistic

sensibility manifested by her, in the vision and

communication with Spirits and Entities that already

followed them in the direction for the initiation in the

mission pre-determined by Oxalá.

This understanding was not at all clear to Anna

D’Orto, and brought her many preoccupations and

annoyances , which made her to search explanations for

those manifestations in different sort of religions until she

found in a Spirit Center of Umbanda the answers and

orientations for her questions. Anna D’Orto was guided to

attend and develop her own mediumistic, which turned

her resisting for a long time, trying to escape from this

mission as she did in her preceding lives. However when

she was convinced, much more, touched by her maternal

feeling, since this could be the only possibility in providing

an improve to her daughter and balance for the family,

she finally opted to attend to the call of the spirituality.

When she disconnected from the last Center of

Umbanda which she worked as consultant medium, Anna

D’Orto, spiritual daughter of Oxossi and Iansã, finally

incorporated her mission and graduated as Mãe de

Santo( Mother of Saint), by her Pai de Santo( Father of

Saint) Father Antonio ( From City of Cotia), who guided

her in the setting and firmnesses for the initiation of a

Spiritual Temple of Umbanda, and then officially was born

the rented headquarter at Ipiranga’s District, in the year of

1972 the temple which would be named as her Entity and

Spiritual Mentor, Caboclo Pena Verde de Oxossi, in the

command of right, consolidated by her Entity Exu Sete

Encruzilhadas in the command of left. Anna D’Orto made

her passage for the spiritual plan in October 31st of 2004,

and as it was announced several times, her first-born,

Sônia Aparecida Ruotolo Moreno, spiritual daughter of

Ogum and Iansã, assumed the continuity of her mission

and her own in the terrestrial plan , for which she was

prepared during this life and also in preceding lives.

Sônia Aparecida Ruotolo Moreno became Mãe de Santo

(Mother of Saint) in the command of Spiritual Temple of

Umbanda Caboclo Pena Verde, having as Spiritual

Mentors Cabocla Jurema de Oxossi, Entity Chief in the

conduction of Right works, Caboclo Pena Verde as

mentor and Spiritual Commandant, always back boarded

by Exu Sete Encruzilhadas, Mentor, Guide and

Commandant and by Exu, Meia Noite, Entity Chief in the

conduction of the Left works of the Temple.

The Umbanda adopted by the Spiritual Temple of

Umbanda Caboclo Pena Verde practices the concept of

White Umbanda, syncretized in the elements of the

kardecista doctrine, of the Catholicism, of the African

religions and of the Brazilian Indians. Its values are moral

and spiritual, such as, Fraternity, Respect with others,

Humility and the biggest of them, the Charity. The

Spiritual Values have as religious base the cult to the

Spirits, Entities that manifest through the mediums, and

conduct the orientation or cure works for the consultants

and guide and development for the Mediums. Cult to

Orixás, which are Spirits – Divinities from a Superior

Astral Plan (ARUANDA), which in Earth are associated

and represent the forces and elements of nature.

Anna D’Orto acts in the Spiritual Plan as Mentor of

the Mãe de Santo (Mother of Saint), in the conduction of

the spiritual works, in the orientations, discipline and

norms of the Spiritual Temple of Umbanda Caboclo Pena

Verde. Her job proceeds, today with the mission to

continue the development and divulgation the Spiritual

Doctrine, through Umbanda, she has done many

meaningful changes related to the concentration and

commitment as well as responsibility for the religion, for

the Temple, it becomes more valuable, important and

indispensable the continuity of it.

The realization of the first edition of this book

summarizes the lessons, the teachings and orientation

weekly given, and in the valorization and exaltation of the

spirit and spirituality, give backboard to the human being

daily, providing them answers for their doubts, breath for

their sufferings, peace for their spirits. Making use of the

great energy, light and serene peace the Entities of this

Temple transmits without mystery, with simplicity,

seriousness, and knowledge, their teachings. The

presence of a big and increasing number of people in the

Giras (spiritual meetings), confirms the faith and trust of

this Temple which searches in its commitment, guide the

people to the way of the real happiness, that one which

initiates by the spirit and from the spirit extends for the

body, and it demonstrates in your life, in your practices, in

joy, in the love to others, in the act of charity. The biggest

value is in learning to listen and look to the world with the

sense of the soul which are fed by noble and positive

thoughts, coming from the presence each time closer to

our divine master Oxalá. Because only through the

intimate renovation, the charity, the respect, the humility

and love, we become deserving and conquer the right to

have Oxala´s greatest and more constant presence. Back

boarded by our faith and by this divine Light so close to

us, we are able to surpass all of the proofs that are

imposed to us, reaching the real and concrete spiritual

evolution, which will make possible to contribute even with

only a small part, the improvement of the essence of the

humanity.

Actually the Spiritual Temple of Umbanda Caboclo

Pena Verde, has own headquarter, placed at Manuel

Girão’s Street, 30 - Jardim Maristela’s, Ipiranga District.

Receiving and attending its sections on Mondays with the

Cure Giras (spiritual meetings) starts at 8:00 PM

(consultants previously booked) and on Wednesdays,

starts at 8:00 PM, and approximately 350 consultants are

attended by 79 Mediums, Sons and Daughters of Saints.

By the eyes of the Spirit

The Entity Preta Velha, Vovó Catarina

(grandmother Catarina), in her lecture made reference in

the way that the big part of the humanity sees the world

that surrounds it, and can be through the eyes of body or

eyes of the spirit.

Every spirit, when incarnates, covers the physical

body which will be connected during all the time that will

remain in this world. Assumes a position of full

connection, but limited to the condition that the matter

imposes, and some people consider a prison a nuisance

which they want to get rid of it and lives this annoyance

during all the incarnation, and they don´t add any good for

the others. Others assume this incarnation as a way of

taking advantage of everything that the matter can offer,

and forget and leave out totally their source and spiritual

connection. When they assume this position, they

appropriates from their free will´s faculty, which will

govern all of their acts, thoughts and feelings,

independent of the mission that was given, and they

establish other objectives totally from material´s order,

they block the eyes of the spirit and looks the world only

with the eyes of the matter giving sense only for its

conveniences as purpose of life. This behavior is like

closing your eyes for the light of the day, in spirit, to see

only the dark side of the night in matter, and forget that

the matter without the energy of the spirit faints, is dead

and the spirit without the physical body, the matter,

endures, and lives for all the eternity.

But, the independence of the spirit in relation to the

matter, does not manifest when it incarnates as human

being, but it does along of its existence in matter, in front

of provocations and terrene experiences. The

circumstances and factors imposed by life, where the

physical body is our instrument of performance and

manifestation, and without its terrene presence as human

being would not exist, and they are put to the test, their

convictions and persistence and will give sense and

consistency to their evolution as spirit.

In this way, attaching yourselves to the free will with the

relation matter-spirit, we are able to understand what

really interferes in your spiritual evolution. Your thoughts,

feelings and conduct and they are in reality spiritual

manifestations sheltered by your free will, by expression

of your consciousness, in other words, of your spirit. To

reach the real consciousness is necessary to know how to

look inside yourself before anything, also to understand

and reflect about what you see, about what can be

eliminated, improve or get better.
