Soft Strip DemolitionMeta offer both commercial and domestic soft strip demolition services.

Before structural dismantling or major refurbishment can take place Meta will systematically remove all fi xtures and fi ttings, plus non-load bearing partitions from buildings.

Materials will be segregated into various waste classifi cations defi ned by the environmental agency and delivered to recycling centres wherever possible.

Waste ManagementReduction of waste is always a major objective in all projects. Debris and other materials are sorted into different categories for disposal at different locations, where it can be treated and processed for re-use or recycling where possible subject to the potential for re-use at the planning stages.

Asbestos RemovalMeta offer a fully licensed and safe asbestos removal services to the retail, fi nancial, Leisure, domestic, pubic bodies, industrial, defence and all other sectors using staff trained to the highest industry standards.

Our services range from repair, removal, collection and safe disposal of asbestos in accordance with current legislation. The hazard of asbestos cannot be underestimated and deaths due to asbestos related illnesses are estimated to be 3000 – 4000 in the UK alone and this is expected to rise to 10,000 by the year 2011.

The risks from asbestos exposure must be effectively managed to ensure asbestos related deaths do not continue to rise. Materials containing asbestos are likely to be found

within any property built before the year 2000. It is often found within wall cavities, ceilings, fi re insulation, textured coatings, boiler rooms and many other locations. Asbestos could be present within your premises, and may have been there for decades and as long as it has been properly treated, maintained and is undisturbed It will pose little threat.

However there is always a risk of damage to the material and release of dangerous asbestos fi bres from work on the building or accidental damage.

ASBESTOS SURVEYS

We can also arrange for an independent asbestos survey for your premises from an accredited asbestos testing service.

The control of asbestos regulations 2006 introduced a mandatory duty to manage asbestos in all non domestic premises. The duty requires those in control to take steps to determine the location, plus condition of the materials that could contain asbestos and put together a management plan.

Failure to comply is an offence with a maximum penalty of an unlimited fi ne.

We can arrange for an independent service to carry out surveys on premises to determined the presence of asbestos containing materials. All surveys are carried out by experienced surveyors, fi lly insured and trained to the British Occupational Hygiene society P402 Standard. All samples are analysed by a UKAS accredited laboratory.
