Metal Shark Blasts into Recreational Market with 35 Courageous

Jeanerette, La., October 5, 2010 – Metal Shark blasts

back into the recreational market with its 35-foot, deep-vee

Courageous. Built on parent company Gravois Aluminum

Boats’ heralded underpinnings, the tough and durable 35

Courageous represents Metal Shark’s return to its

recreational roots.

“Courageous is the ideal platform for buyers seeking unparalleled performance and rugged

durability, and offers an innovative alternative to fiberglass,” said Chris Allard, President, Metal Shark

Boats. “Gravois has built high-quality recreational boats for the past thirty years, and Courageous is

Metal Shark’s evolution of that fabled bloodline.”

Durability Redefined

Sleek, well-appointed, and built to withstand brutal offshore conditions and near-shore runs alike,

the 35-foot Courageous is built on a high-performance, deep-vee hull. When it’s time to get up and go,

Courageous responds instantly by unleashing up to 900 horsepower for speeds in excess of 65 miles

per hour. On board, Courageous is fully loaded with standard features:

• T-top and console with three (3) windows; • Windshield wiper; • Six (6) top-mounted rod holders; • Eight (8) flush-mounted rod holders; • Collapsible transom ladder; • Two (2) in-deck fish boxes; • Transom livewell; • Transom door; • ICOM VHF radio and antenna; • Raymarine C120W electronics package includes GPS antenna; radar dome; transducer; heading

sensor; and display

Courageous’ durable construction and wide assortment of standard features make it ideal for any

number of applications, but the boat’s outstanding fuel efficiency, raw horsepower, and unparalleled

strength truly set it apart from the competition.

Whether it’s jetting through the coves or pounding through offshore surf, the 35 Courageous is the

picture of rugged durability. Metal Shark designs its hulls and components utilizing advanced 3-D

rendering software which, when combined with computer-guided routers, ensures that every Metal

Shark meets the rigorous standards of even the most demanding operators. While its fiberglass peers

can be damaged by objects lurking beneath the surface, Courageous’ welded aluminum construction

ensures its seaworthiness regardless of conditions. Built of lightweight 5086 marine-grade aluminum

alloy, Courageous’ jaw-dropping ¼-inch hull is tough enough to stand up to almost any level of abuse.

With integrated seating in front of the cockpit, a bolstered helm station seat, and a leaning post and

transom seating aft, there’s more than enough seating space for pilot and passengers alike. Metal

Shark also offers custom bow seating configurations built to customer specifications. Added comfort

comes courtesy of the boat’s huge T-top, which provides exceptional protection from the elements. A

fully-enclosed berth also keeps occupants dry in foul weather conditions, and a full head is available.

Metal Shark Continues Delivery of Oil Spill Clean-Up Boats Safe, Stable Platform for Clean-Up Operations

Jeanerette, La., July 13, 2010 – Metal Shark Boats this week delivered the third of twenty

boats specially-designed to assist with oil spill clean-up efforts in near shore applications. The 30-

foot, barge-style 30 Resolute is already in use off the coast of Louisiana, and the company plans to

continue construction and delivery at a rate of two boats per week. The Resolute’s large, flat deck and low freeboard afford

workers a close proximity to the water’s surface while also

making the boat capable of operation in depths as little as

eight inches. Worker comfort is further enhanced by the 30

Resolute’s integrated sun shade. The boat’s 6,000-pound

capacity provides ample space for additional storage tanks,

booms, skimmers, and other oil removal accessories. With

an overall beam (width) of ten feet, the 30 Resolute may

also be easily transported by trailer to spill-affected areas.

“A swift resolution to this crisis is essential, as the health of our wetlands and coastal areas are

vital to millions of Gulf Coast residents,” said Chris Allard, President, Metal Shark Boats. “With the

30 Resolute, we’re better equipped to support the massive and ongoing clean-up effort.”

Consistent Durability

Consistent quality is the hallmark of Metal Shark’s manufacturing process. The company

designs all of its hulls and components utilizing advanced 3-D rendering software which, when

combined with computer-guided routers, ensures that every Metal Shark meets the rigorous

standards of even the most demanding operators.

The 30 Resolute’s structural integrity begins with the internal structure of the hull itself. Welded

from high-grade 5086 aluminum alloy, the deck-height longitudinal and transverse structures

interlock with one another to form the boat’s incredibly rigid “skeleton.” Additionally, the

incorporation of bends in place of welds in key locations affords reduced weight and increased

efficiency while maintaining the boat’s incredible toughness and durability.

Further contributing to the 30 Resolute’s strength is the boat’s rugged, non-skid deck, which is

fully welded to the hull, transverse bulkheads, and longitudinal girders. The innovative deck design

provides unmatched strength while minimizing waste. Prior to final assembly, the hull is filled with

expandable foam, allowing for level floatation even if the boat is fully swamped.

Metal Shark sells directly to qualified government and commercial organizations, and custom-

builds all boats to mission specifications. Metal Shark products are also available for purchase

using General Service Administration (GSA) Supply Schedule 084. GSA pricing is also available to

State, County, and Municipal agencies qualifying under the 1122 Counterdrug Program.

Metal Shark Introduces 28 Relentless Customizable Versatility

Jeanerette, La., May 3, 2010 - Metal Shark Boats today introduced the newest in its lineup of durable patrol boats, the 28 Relentless.  Agile and maneuverable, yet tough enough to withstand the harshest environments imaginable, the 28 Relentless is the most versatile and customizable craft in the Metal Shark patrol series.  The multi-mission craftis ideally-suited for a range of applications, from border protection and port security to drug interdiction and gunship operations.  The 28 Relentless also offers Metal Shark's most innovative option: the fully transformable Optimus cabin.

Consistent Durability        Consistent quality is the hallmark of Metal Shark's manufacturing process.  The company designs all of its hulls and components utilizing advanced 3-D rendering software which, when combined with computer-guided routers, ensures that every Metal Shark meets the rigorous standards of even the most demanding operators.        The 28 Relentless' structural integrity begins with the internal structure of the hull itself.  Welded from high-grade 5086 aluminum alloy, the deck-height longitudinal and transverse structures interlock with one another to form the boat's incredibly rigid "skeleton."  Additionally, the incorporation of bends in place of welds in key locations affords reduced weight and increased efficiency while maintaining the boat's incredible toughness and durability.        Further contributing to the 28 Relentless' strength is the boat's rugged, non-skid deck, which is fully welded to the hull, transverse bulkheads, and longitudinal girders.  The innovative deck design provides unmatched strength while minimizing waste.  Prior to final assembly, the hull is filled with expandable foam, making the 28 Relentless not only bulletproof (with the addition of the optional Optimus cabin), but also allowing for level floatation when the boat is fully swamped.        Truly setting the 28 Relentless apart from other vessels in its class is the boat's fully-customizable Optimus cabin option.  Featuring air conditioning and heat, and sliding side and rear windows, the convertible pilothouse design of the Optimus cabin offers all of the luxury associated with a full cabin, but can also be quickly and easily converted into an open center console with T-Top.  Most importantly, all Optimus cabin panels and windows can be enhanced with ballistic materials, rendering the cabin - and its occupants - bulletproof.

A 200-gallon fuel tank is also available for extended-range mission, and optional shock-mitigating   seats ensure crew comfort in even the most inhospitable waters.  Further enhancing the 1/4-inch welded aluminum hull's durability is a full protective collar.  Depending on the application, the 28 Relentless offers foam, foam/air hybrid, and full-air collar options.  Users selecting the air collar option enjoy the added convenience of an onboard inflation/deflation system for close-quarters maneuverability.  For law enforcement and fire suppression applications, the 28 Relentless also features optional gun mounts and tripods as well as an integrated fire pump.   Specifications
