Analysis of the elastic properties of cardiac tissues from 3D echocardiography

Analysis of cardiac MR images for the automated detection of suspicious regions (scar tissue in myocardium)

MICENEA Main objectives:

to design a microwave prototype system for breast imaging to develop new algorithms for the automatic lesion detection with

inputs from mammography, DOBI (Dynamic Optical Breast imaging) and the microwave prototype

to test the complete system in a clinical scenario

Voxel dosimetry: calculation of radiation absorbed dose to tissue regions with dimensions up to a few centimeters

Dosimetry for patients undergoing targeted radionuclide therapy

Inputs: Activity distribution: SPECT-PET

Magnetic resonance for Fluids in Porous Media MRPM Group P Fantazzini, M Mariani, L Brizi, V Bortolotti , R. Brown Il gruppo MRPM ha ideato e organizzato, a partire dal 1990, le conferenze intern. MRPM che ora sono giunte alla 12a edizione e prendono il nome di: Intern. Bologna Conferences on Magnetic Resonance in Porous Media. MRPM-12 si terr nel febbraio 2014 allUniversit di Wellington (New Zealand).

Ricerche in corso: - progettazione di nuove sequenze di impulsi rf per filtrare a priori dati (e immagini) NMR (Brevetto PERFIDI); - metodi per misurare il coefficiente di autodiffusione dellacqua mediante sonda NMR di superficie; - applicazione al tessuto osseo e cartilagine; - applicazione ai cementi endodontici; - applicazione alla valutazione delle prestazioni di protettivi e consolidanti per Beni Culturali (in coll. con CNR, Progetto Centro Fermi); -studio degli effetti dei cambiamenti climatici sulla nano-microstruttura dei coralli (Prog. Europeo CORALWARM); -studio della permeabilit di membrana in cellule (in coll. con G. Castellani e D. Remondini); -MRI funzionale (in coll. con C. Testa, DIBINEM, S.Orsola); -Analisi dati IMRT (in coll. con M. Palombarini, Dip. Fisica Medica, Bellaria).
