The Multi-Flo is a free swinging, banana shaped and linear motion screen. Motion is
provided by revolving eccentrics imparting both separating G-Force and the material
travel force components. The screen is design assured using Finite Element Analysis
(FEA), EN-1993-1-9:2005 (E). This is coupled with a robust, fabricated and "Huckbolted"
construction monitored and controlled through Metso's ISO9001:2000 Quality
accreditation. Welding in critical areas is minimized.
The product incorporates design initiatives to facilitate site maintenance and servicing
requirements, such as the use of bolted parts, replaceable wear linings (when supplied),
selection of drive mechanisms to achieve performance and provide acceptable bearing
life, and the availability of other optional improvements to suit particular application and
site environment.
The screen is designed for reliable operation in demanding applications such as mining
or quarrying.
The banana shape starts at 25º of inclination (feed end) and ends at 0º (discharge end) for
wet applications and starts at 25º and ends at 15º for dry applications.

ML80 VIBRATING MECHANISM
ML80 MECHANISM COUNTER WEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
ML80 Mechanism with geared eccentric counterweights and oil lubricated, providing
linear acceleration in the line of action in consideration of the screening application. The main characteristics are: • Closed box; • Easily and adjustable external counter weights; • Oil tight mechanism sealed to prevent oil contamination and aiming maximum bearing life; • High capacity long life spherical roller bearing; • Double ends of drive shaft allow choice of right or left connection; • Continuous oil splash lubrication for better cooling and less maintenance; • Low noise precise synchronism gears; • Allows the connection by heavy duty cardan shaft; • Spare mechanism on hand in “as new” condition allow quick change and less down time.
MECHANISM SUPPORT BEAM
Mechanism support beam is fabricated from heavy sections and with machined bolted
surfaces ensuring accurate alignment of the mechanisms.

SUPPORT FRAME
Support frame (deck): sloped from
the feed to discharge end at angle
decrements to suit the application,
made from individually fabricated
members with attached longitudinal
deck support angles, designed to
support the screen surface. The
design of the support frame is
without any diagonal type bracing,
but consisted of rubber lining.
