InstructionsNote: Placetheactuatoronthedampershaftwiththefrontoftheactuatoraccessible. The label is on the front side.
1. Determinewhetherthedamperbladeswillrotateclockwiseorcounterclockwisetoopen.SeeFigure3.
2. Ifthebladeswillrotatecounterclockwise,slidethemanualoverrideswitchtomanual,andmovetheadjustmentlevertotheright.Returntheswitchtoautomatic. See Figure 2.

5. ClosethetabovertheDIPswitches.
6. Tomounta(3-position)MF41-6043orMF41-6083Seriesactuatorforcounter-clockwiserotation,followtheCounterclockwiseDamperRotationinstructionslocatedintheWiringDiagramssectionwhenwiringtheactuatorto the controller.

1.Removefactoryinstalled1/2-inchguide.See Figure 4. A3/8-inchshaftadapterisprovidedinactuatorpackage.
2. Hold the shaft insert so that the raised tabsareinsertedlastwhenplacingtheinsertintothebackoftheactuator.Proceed to Figure 6, step 2.

2. Mount actuator to shaft per Figure 6.

Manual Override Tomovethedamperbladesandlockthepositionwithnopowerpresent,dothefollowing:
1.Slidetheredmanualoverrideknobtowardthebackof the actuator.
2.Makeadjustmentstothedamperposition.
3.Slidetheredmanualoverrideknobtowardthefrontof the actuator.
Oncepowerisrestored,theactuatorreturnstoautomated control.
Dual Auxiliary Switch Setting
For MF41-6083-502, MS41-6083-502, and MS41-6083-522, only.
Factory setting:
A = 5° B = 85°
Useaflat-bladescrewdrivertoadjusttheAswitch.Thelong arm of the “†” points to the setting. Manually turn theredringoftheBswitch.Thenarrowertabontheringpoints to the setting. See Figure 10.
Note: Theauxiliaryswitchsettingshaftsrotatewiththeactuator.Thescaleisvalidonlywhentheactuatorisinthe“0”positiononclockwisemotion. Invertscaleforcounterclockwiserotation.

Mechanical Range Adjustment
1.Loosenthestopsetscrew.
2.Moveitalongthetracktothedesiredposition,andfastenitinplace.
Mechanical range limitation and self–adapt feature.
1. To use the entire 0 to 10V input signal to control the adjusted range, raise the tab locatedonthelowerleft-handsideoftheactuatorandlocatetheDIPswitches.SeeFigure 3.
2.Settheself-adaptDIPswitchto(ON).SeeFigure13.
3.ClosethetabovertheDIPswitches.
Forexample,ifyousetthelockingscrewat70°andturntheself-adaptswitchON,a5Vinputsignalwilldrivethedamperto35°(50%ofitsadjustedrange).
Caution: Whenturningtheself-adaptivefeatureon,orafterasoftwareresetwiththefeatureon,theactuatorwillenterafive-minutecalibrationcycleastheactuatoradjuststotherotationlimitsofthesystem.Asoftwareresethappensafterpoweron,ormaybecausedbyelectrostaticdischarge(ESD)atlevelsof2kVandabove.
Slope (Span) and Offset Adjustment
For MS41-6083-520 and MS41-6083-522 only.Factory setting: Slope(span)ΔU ≈10 Offset Uo = 0
Useaflat-bladescrewdrivertomakeadjustments.Thelong arm of the “†” points to the setting.

•Usesafety-isolatingtransformers(ClassIIItransformer)perEN61558.Theymustberatedfor100%dutycycle.
•Overcurrentprotectionforsupplylinesismaximum10A.

If the damper blades turn counterclockwisetoopen(CCW),reversethe6(violet)and7(orange)wiresatthecontroller.
Caution: Donotwiredifferenttypesofactuators(suchasMF41-6153Series)inparallelwiththesemodels.
