PATIENCE
We do not live in a patientsociety. People are looking forsudden and immediate results.
Millions of people buy hugenumbers of lottery tickets in the
hope they will hit the jackpotand become instant
millionaires. People will spendtheir life’s savings going into abusiness that they know very
little about, wanting it all now.The spirit of the gold miners
lives today.Yet the bible teaches patience, that usually good things comeafter hard work and Christian
character is built slowly by manyyears of serving God. People are
saved in a single hour and
sometimes pick up a rock anddiscover gold. However, good
things take a while and patienceis required. Everyone who has
raised children knows it takes alot of patience to bring up a
child. The person conceived in amoment and born in a day may
live to be 100 years old. Wemust be patient with others,
with ourselves, with our worldand with God.
