I am NOT a career politician.I am not seeking elected office to advance mycareer or make money. The only reason thatI am running for Congress is because I wantto continue serving you and I want to makesure your voice is heard in Washington.I’ve spent more than 28 years serving ourcountry and the people of New Jersey as aSenior Non-Commissioned Officer in the

US Army, a Federal Air Marshal, and a small business owner. Now I’masking for the opportunity to continue to serve you as theCongressman from the Ninth District.

Over the past two years, it has become increasingly clear that Washingtonis broken. Politicians in both parties have forgotten that their responsibilityis to represent the people of New Jersey, not the lobbyists, special interests,and political bosses on Capitol Hill. The career politicians and bureaucratsin Washington have failed to solve the problems facing our country.Instead of improving the economyand helping small business owners,Congress passed a trillion-dollarStimulus bill that failed to slowunemployment and increasedthe size of government.

I have COMMON SENSE approach to solving problems. As a programmanager and budget analyst in the military, I saved the taxpayers millionsof dollars by streamlining budgets and cutting expenses. I want to takethose skills and that experience to represent you in Washington. As yourRepresentative I will fight for:

• Creating jobs: Reducing taxes,repealing all recent tax increasesand permanently extending theBush tax cuts. Let’s get Americansback to work!

• Government Accountability: Identifying the constitutionality ofevery new law. I will not go to Washington to “spread the wealth.”

• Fiscal Responsibility: Cutting out of control spending, reducingearmarks, and auditing federal government agencies.

• Keeping America Safe: Securing our borders and ports, no Mirandarights or civilian trials for foreign born terrorists and NO AMNESTYto illegal aliens.

Every dollar the government spends comes from an Americanfamily. As your representative in Washington, my loyaltywill be to you alone. If you believe as I do that America isheading in the wrong direction and it’s time to “retire” the14 year incumbent professional politician, Steve Rothman,VOTE November 2nd for COMMON SENSE IN DISTRICT 9.
