Michael Weintrob is often recognized for his work. His conceptual style creates powerful visuals capturing the complete experience. Specializing in shooting live mu-sicians, portraits, events and world culture, Michael Wein-trob’s tenacious eye brings many layers of context to each photograph, telling the whole story in just one image.

Some of Michael Weintrob’s clients in the entertainment in-dustry include corporations such as ABC, Sony, Epitaph and Bluenote/EMI and in publications such as Rolling Stone, Spin, Mojo, Billboard, Relix and Outside. His work has graced the album covers of renowned artists Burning Spear, Taj Ma-jal, Karl Denson, the Doobie Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Char-lie Hunter and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band among others.

In April 2007, Michael’s photographs of the aftermath of Hur-ricane Katrina were auctioned off by Sothebys at the Mu-sic Rising benefit in New York City, which helped provide musical instruments to children affected by the disaster.

Michael Weintrob also makes time for personal photog-raphy projects. He has been furiously shooting por-traits around the country to include in his Instru-ment Heads project that will be published in 2011.
