The US First Lady’s Fashion and Style – Michelle Obama and Her Exquisite Dresses

President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama are the focus again due to the presidential election. I am not a big fan of political figures, but I am very interested to Ms. Obama’s tasteful personal style. Everyone has to admit that Michelle Obama is a style icon now in the US. She has boosted sales of Jason Wu, Tracy Feith, Thakoon and a number of other designers. Everything she touches turns into gold.

Ms.O may be not a breath-taking beauty, but she has taste in fashion and style. She has been listed among “10 of the World’s Best Dressed People” twice by Vanity Fair in 2007 and 2008; she appeared on the 2008 People list of best-dressed women; she appeared on the cover of Vogue in the March 2009 issue and became the second First Lady who appeared on the Vogue cover (the other is Hillary Clinton); and she is the first woman to appear on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens in August 2011.

As find in Wikipedia, “Her white, one-shoulder Jason Wu 2009 inaugural gown was said to be an unlikely combination of Nancy Reagan and Jackie Kennedy”, and “she has been compared to Jacqueline Kennedy due to her sense of style, and also to Barbara Bush for her discipline and decorum”.

Michelle Obama wears her white, one-shoulder Jason Wu gown to attend all the 10 inauguration balls in 2009.

“I love clothes,” she told Vogue in her 2009 profile. “First and foremost, I wear what I love. That’s what women have to focus on: what makes them happy and what makes them feel comfortable and beautiful.” Vogue has listed her among the best-dressed people more than once. Here are some of her best dresses listed by Vogue.

It’s obviously that Michelle Obama has marvelous taste in her dress, but I noticed that the first lady seems to be missing one important accessory: her fashion handbags. Is her lack of purse a matter of style? Or she just hates to carry a bag? We will share with you some rare images of Michelle as a “bag lady” next blog.

Michelle Obama with Her Fashion Handbags

The First Lady of the United States is exposed to just as much of the media spotlight as her husband; and her dress in the latest US presidential election leaves us deep impression again. It’s no doubt that Michelle Obama has taste in fashion and style, and she always present in front of the media with exquisite dresses. But it seems that this elegant First Lady misses something very important to ladies: a fashionable designer handbag. Ms. O is almost always empty-handed.

Indeed, it’s very difficult to look for her picture with a purse in hand. It seems that she almost never carries anything. Of course, she may have nothing to carry. After all, it’s unnecessary for a lady with her own entourage to carry a wallet or cash. And it’s not suitable to carry a bag with her when she delivers speech. Yet if we dug deeply, we will find some images of Michelle with handbags, just equally elegant compared to the empty-handed Ms. Obama.

Michelle Obama Boosted lots of designers. I have to say that this Reed Krakoff’s bag is very plain, with nothing special compared to other bags of the same rank, but all pieces of this design were sold out just a few days after Ms. Obama carried this bag to her daughter’s parent-teacher conference.

Michelle Obama has been spotted carrying a $1500 VBH Ballerina Clutch in NYC. VBH is known for its quality and simplicity, is among the kind of under-the-radar collection. However, this clutch in brilliant royal blue color matches her elegant black dress smartly and highlights her style greatly. Although Ms. O can be equally graceful without handbag, her pairing with this fabulous clutch proves that bags are the best accessories to perfect your outlook.

It seems that the First Lady NEVER carries those “It Bags” scrambled for by other celebrities. At least, among these handbags she carried, it’s difficult to recognize what she wears. We just can admire her gorgeous style, without knowing where to get the same bags.

Michelle Obama visited a bakery in Occoquan, Virginia, and listened to 6-year-old Sydney Trapp play the violin. Does Ms. O look elegant in her green sleeveless shirt and pink skirt pairing with the creamy handbag?

US Presidential Election Style – Michelle Obama VS Ann Romney’s Debate Outfits

The 2012 United States presidential election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney have been making their best effort to win the polls during the U.S. presidential race. Their furious arguments during the US Presidential debates draw everyone’s attention. Obama vs Romney, who will be the winner?

While President Obama and Mitt Romney debate furiously during the three debates of US Election 2012, their wives, Michelle Obama and Ann Romney also have a fight in fashion world. These two ladies are exposed to just as much of the media spotlight as her husband although they do little more than allude to foreign and domestic policy. Their debates outfits give a topic to the fashion followers, and we are looking forward to the next First Lady’s style on the coming Inauguration Day.

First Debate Outfit: FLOTUS In Blue and Mrs. Romney In White

While president Barack Obama and his major challenger Mitt Romney fought it out over healthcare, the tax code and unemployment in the first 2012 presidential debate, Michelle Obama and Ann Romney seated in the front row and showed their support to their husbands. The FLOTUS wore a blue dress and jacket from Preen’s fall 2011 collection, while Mrs. Romney wore white. Although their husbands deliver

finger-pointing speech to win the 2012 presidential race, the two candidates’ wives greeted each other warmly and even paused for a hug.

Pink IS the Color OF the Second Debate

When the two men duked it out at the second presidential debate, their wives Michelle Obama and Ann Romney stepped in front of the cameras with nearly identical outfits. Mrs. O wears a neon boucle crepe princess seamed sheath dress and jacket by Michael Kors, while Ann Romney wore a short-sleeve dress by Oscar de la Renta. Both of them wore dresses in bright pink color for their husbands’ big night, it seems likely that the women chose the hue in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, is or not?

Michelle Obama and Ann Romney Wore Identical Pink Dresses at the Second Presidential Debate

Michelle Obama wore a hot pink dress and coordinating jacket similar like the blue dress she wore last debate, accessorized with a single strand of pearls. It’s not the first time for Mrs. Obama in pink, she wowed in Pink Tracy Reese Dress at Democratic National Convention Speech 2012.

Final Debate Dress – Simple Is Fashionable

For the final presidential debate at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, Mrs. O wore a simple grey and black floral lace frock by designer Thom Browne, and Ann chose an equally as simple emerald green dress. For this time around, both of them use belts, Ms. Obama looks even simpler with clean nails while Ann lightens her dress with translucent necklace and bright red nails!

Ann Romney Wore Simple Green Dress in the Final Debate before US Presidential Election

Both Michelle Obama and Ann Romney have been running hard to support their husbands’ presidential election 2012. They have been just as busy as the two political figures ever since the presidential polls 2012 began. We are about them not just because of their fashionable dresses, but because one of them will be chatelaine of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Will Mrs. Obama continue her FLOTUS fashion and style, or Mrs. Romney begins a new FLOTUS fashion and style? Let’s wait and see what’s happen. After all, the Election Day is finally coming.
