Welcome to the Lead-Free Michigan toolkit, created by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP). CLPPP hopes that you will use this toolkit as your “go-to” resource for all things lead. This is designed for use by nurse case managers, health educators, and other public health professionals as they are working with and educating different populations about lead poisoning prevention. The toolkit is divided into six sections, including: Parents Home Owners and Tenants Schools Health Care Providers Child Care Providers Additional Resources While the materials are sorted into different sections, many of the materials can be used for multiple populations. For example, the “Well Fed Means Less Lead” brochure can be used when providing education to Parents, School, Child Care Providers, or by Health Care Providers. Move the materials around and organize the toolkit to work best for you. We encourage you adding additional resources like federal and community-level resources, calendars, applications (CSHCS, WIC, Healthy Kids) and more to make it specific to you and your community’s needs. Electronic versions of all materials are available at www.miclppp.org. Please contact CLPPP if you have any questions regarding this toolkit. [email protected] 517-335-8885 MICHIGAN

The toolkit is divided into six sections, including: Parents

 Home Owners and Tenants

 Schools

 Health Care Providers

 Child Care Providers

 Additional Resources

While the materials are sorted into different sections, many of the materials can be used for multiple populations.
