Naran was founded in 2009 by Taehyun Park after he spent several years wandering around Silicon Valley, Redmond, and Tokyo working for Google, Microsoft, and ING Life.

Operating out of “Book City” in Korea, Naran is hard at work developing Prota, a hardware and software ecosystem designed to bring users’ homes to life.

In addition to launching Prota in the United States in 2016, Naran will also introduce Microbot Push, the first in a series of “tiny robot helpers” built specifically for the Prota ecosystem.

We are excited to finally make home automation fun and interactive!

ProblemThere are myriads of buttons on every device in your home..

..but no way to automate when do these buttons get pressed.

Page 5: Microbot Push for the Internet of Things

Push is a wireless robotic finger, a Microbot, that can push your ordinary buttons and switches just like a human finger does.

Using the accompanying Prota OS, create personal Microbot automation instructions, or as we call them stories.

-Push turns on light when you come home.

-Push starts your espresso maker when the Sun rises.

-Friday, 5PM: Push activates your record player to celebrate the start of the weekend.

You can save precious minutes of your sleep, feel safer at home and a lot more. Microbot Push makes pushing buttons effortless and fun.

Plan

We are deep into the Microbot prototyping process and will soon be ready to bring these tiny robot helpers into the physical world.

When we finalize our hardware plans, we will continue to develop our interactive UX that lets users to create personal automation stories for their home or workplace.

Push is just the beginning in the Microbot series: look out for future Microbots that will handle everything from motion detection to biometric scanning.

Microbot Push will be launched in late 2015.
