MicroCannula TrainingFor Cosmetic Filler Treatments
By Garry R. Lee, MD
What IS a… MicroCannula?
A MicroCannula is like a needle except it has a
blunt-end tip with a tiny pore near the end for
the extrusion of cosmetic injectable fillers
Physicians are reporting 70% to 100% less
bruising, swelling, and tenderness using
MicroCannula instead of hypodermic needles
MicroCannulas are thought to be safer than hypodermic needles because the blunt-tip minimizes the risk of penetrating blood vessels and clogging them with filler
While using hypodermic needles (instead of MicroCannulas), physicians and nurses HAVE accidently injected into blood vessels resulting in skin necrosis, ulcers, blindness, and strokes
And……MicroCannulas Are Safer…
• We only recommend MicroCannulas that have extrusion ports right at the tip--to precisely place cosmetic filler exactly where you want it.
• We only recommend MicroCannulas with tapered--instead of blunt tips--because they are much easier and more comfortable to insert
• The TSK by Air-Tite STERiGLIDE has the port . . . right at the tapered tip
