 GUIDELINES MINI PROJECT FOR MEC523: APPLIED ELECTRONICS AND MICROPROCESSOR GROUP : EMD6M11 & EMD6M5A THEME : AGRICULTURE&AQUACULTURE INSTRUCTOR: YA’AKOB YUSOF CO3 Apply the technique of circuit theory, digital electronics and microprocessor interfacing in conducting the problem based learning for mechatronic applications {PO5, P4}. REQUIREMENTS Students are required to:  Design and develop the products using microcontroller, for instance Arduino, Raspberry PI or etc by the end of this course. The product can be simple but should follow the theme. The product can also demonstrate some form of innovation and imaginative/original ideas. The ideas can be found through various resources such as magazines and from the internet, but make sure the ideas not same with the previous project (you can check the previous projects throug h FB page of our Hurobs). Maximum number of students p er group is 5. Please work as a team as this will also be evaluated. The most successful projects tend to have all members exhibiting high enthusiasm in the project. PRESENTATION  Students are required to present their mini project on the 14th week of the semester or at a specified date determined by the instructor.  Every group member  must do the presentation. This is to ensure that every member did contribute in the project.  Each group will be allowed to present for 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Questions and Answer (Q & A) session.  Standard OBE presentation form will be used for assessment.  REPORT  A report to document the mini project for this course is to be submitted for assessment.  The report should range from 15 (minimum) to 25 (maximum) pages and must be type-written using Microsoft Word using 12 Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing and justify.  Follow the guidance of report as given. - Problem Statement - Objective - Introduction - Product Details - Programming Flowchart - Circuit Diagram - Coding - Result - Discussion - Conclusion  Submit a project report during the presentation day. ASSESSMENT The marks assigned for this project will be apportioned as follows (full mark of 20%):   Maximum marks for presentation are 5%  Maximum marks for report are 5%  Maximum marks for product are 10%
