Please complete this application form carefully and completely. We will not accept incomplete application packs; the form must be completed and all supporting documentation provided.
Forms should be completed electronically although handwritten forms will be accepted. Please do not cross
out sections, or write ‘see/refer to CV’. Although CVs may be submitted, they will only be accepted in
support of information, statements or contentions, already established in the application form.
A recent passport sized photograph must be provided with your application.
Please ensure that you have read and signed the declaration at the end of this application.
You will be required to submit proof of identity; 3 forms of identification are required, which may include your
Passport, ID Card, Driver’s licence & Birth Certificate. One form of identification must be your passport and
one should confirm your current address. We will, alongside the above, also accept a utility bill or bank
statement in your name, at your current address, as proof of residence in certain circumstances. Applicants
are required to bring the original of all supporting documentation along with a photocopy of each. The
original will be checked and returned. The copy will be verified and retained by our staff.
At least two reference letters are required to be submitted with this application - these must have been
written within the last calendar year, and must be current and relevant to the post applied for (i.e. not
generic). At least one of these references should be from a current or previous employer. Officers currently serving in another Police force will be required to provide a Divisional Commander as a referee.
Applicants who have resided anywhere else other than Gibraltar must also submit a Basic Disclosure
Vetting Certificate (DBS) from the pertinent authorities in the country of current or past residency.
When completing this application form, you should ensure that you are in possession of the job and person
specification. In particular, it is IMPORTANT that you take the opportunity to use the application form to
evidence that you meet the competences set out in the person specification. This information is essential in
