Finding the Application:

1. Go to http://wveis.k12.wv.us to access the WVEIS on Web (WOW) link.

2. Log into WVEIS on the Web (WOW) using your user ID and password.

CTE and Secondary Principals: A.

1. Click the Approved Curriculum link to begin working on your approved curriculum.

B.

1. The Available Programs box contains all the programs for the upcoming school year that are approved by the WVDE, within policy 2520.13.

2. The Approved Curriculum box, by default, is populated with the school’s current approved curriculum minus any programs that are no longer approved by the WVDE according to 2520.13.

3. The left and right pointing arrows are used to move programs of study between the Available Programs and the Approved Curriculum boxes. To add a program to the Approved Curriculum box, select the program in the Available Programs box and then click on the button with the arrow pointing to the right (Approved Curriculum box). To remove a program from your approved curriculum, click on the program you wish to remove and then click on the button that points to the left (Available Programs box). You may select more than one program from either the Available Programs box or the Approved Curriculum box by holding the Control key and clicking multiple programs. You may also select a range of programs by clicking on a program, holding the Shift key, and clicking on another program.

4. Schools not offering programs should select the radio button stating “We will not offer any programs.”5. Once the Approved Curriculum box contains all the WVDE approved programs that you are going to offer, click

on the Save Programs of Study button to save your programs.

Note: The Courses and Forms tabs will not be populated until your approved curriculum is saved.

C.

1. The Courses tab contains the available courses listed in policy 2520.13 that are available for the programs you saved to your approved curriculum on the Programs of Study tab.

2. Select a radio button next to Student Type to indicate whether the students participating in the program of study will be Secondary, Adults or Both.

3. Click on the Offered checkbox, Simulated Workplace checkbox (when applicable), and enter the contact hours for each course that will be offered for each program. Most programs provide 135 contact hours. Note: the Simulated Workplace checkbox and Contact Hours checkbox are disabled until the Offered checkbox is checked.

4. Click on the Save Courses button to save and validate your work.

Note: To export the courses to a spreadsheet, click on the Export to Excel button. To print the courses, click on the Print button.

1. The Errors box is displayed if there were missing datasets located during the validation process. The Errors box contains a detailed message all errors listed by program of study.

2. When a radio button for the Student Type has not been selected, the radio buttons will be outlined in red and have a light red background.

3. The areas that contain an error are highlighted by a red border with light red background.

E.

1. The Forms tab provides information on additional forms/paperwork that is needed to complete your LEA Plan. 2. The Drop Programs section contains a list of the programs that were removed from the Approved Curriculum

box on the Program of Study tab. Click the “Drop Programs (Form 3)” link to complete the electronic Form 3. 3. The New Programs section contains a list of programs from the Approved Curriculum box on the Program of

Study tab that were not part of the approved curriculum for the previous year. Click the “New Programs (Form 4)” link to complete the electronic Form 4.

1. Your approved curriculum is now ready to submit. Please enter your name, click the checkbox, and click the Submit Approved Curriculum button.

1. As indicated in the green box, your approved curriculum has been successfully submitted.

CTE Director Role: A.

1. Click the Approved Curriculum link to begin working on your approved curriculum.

B.

1. Make a selection from the drop down box. When you select a school, the view is the same as the Principal role. ‐Select “***Entire County” to see the district level view.

C.

1. A table of schools and their submitted status is provided. A green checkmark in the Submitted column indicates that the school has successfully submitted their approved curriculum. A red X in the Submitted column indicates that the school has not submitted their approved curriculum

2. Click on the Reopen link to allow the school to make changes to their approved curriculum. When they have completed their changes, they will have to re submit. ‐

3. A table is provided for each school that contains their approved curriculum and the courses that they will be offering. The table is updated in real time. Click on the name of the school to hide/unhide their approved curriculum table.

Note: To export the schools and their courses to a spreadsheet, click on the Export to Excel button. To print the schools and their courses, click on the Print button.

1. The table shows that all the schools in the district have submitted their approved curriculums. 2. The Program Forms table displays the countywide changes made to school level program’s of study. CTE

Director’s must click on every Program Link and approve or deny each request. The table records the responses with a “Y” or an “N.”

3. When all Forms are reviewed and each school has submitted, the red District Submit box is displayed. 4. Enter your name, click the checkbox, and click the Submit District button to complete the district level

submission.

Note: The option to certify, at the county (district) level will not populate until all schools are certified.
