As the days start to lengthen, many of our activities venture outdoors. Whether you develop your green finger skills in one of our local allotments; join a guided nature walk and learn about our diverse borough or simply bring the kids along to revel in a day of park pursuits along with the obligatory picnic.

For all those aspiring artists, take part in a ceramic or print workshop under the guidance of local creative experts. Theatre lovers can enjoy a youth group production of CATS or take in some Shakespeare’s Macbeth and there is an abundance of musical offerings to choose from,

To celebrate May as national month for walking, our Outdoor Recreation Team has got together with a number of local walking clubs and organisations to organise a number of different walks throughout the borough. From park walks to walks in the hills, these guided walks will provide great opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. ProcessionsBorough wideJanuary to June FREE

2018 marks 100 years of women’s right to vote in the UK, PROCESSIONS is a nationwide artwork celebrating the centenary of the Representation of the People’s Act. Women of all ages throughout the Borough will be engaged in the making of a unique textile banner to be paraded as part of the national celebrations at a major rally event in Belfast on 10 June. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is one of 100 handpicked organisation in the UK to deliver the project in partnership with Artichoke. All ages welcome.

Ian Enlander, a naturalist and geologist, will lead a walk of 2.5 miles from Carnlough Town Hall to the Cranny Falls and return.
