The Community Education Department (CED)

Year-round, excellent, international education, aimed towards the larger community.

The Community Education Department at Alpha University strives to provide excellent education and practical experience, on a year-round basis to conventional students and life-long learners. We strive to help integrate our students into the local and international community. The budget has been cut:-2.4% of the entire approved budget

What this means:The Community Education Department must reduce its budget by $19,627.08

Roughly equivalent to:12,344 rubber duckies (at $1.59 each)

The Good News

We see an opportunity!

Reductions in the fall and spring programs for the Western Civilization Lecture Series

will allow for the restructuring of the program for the summer term.

Recommended Reductions:

● Hourly teaching time and for fall and spring terms

● Hourly support staff time for fall and spring terms

● Program supplies, advertising, guest lectures
