Even the adorable pair of native, cuddly bears informer Oxman's display window, all the way from the land from Down Under, peer out from trusting eyes trying to choose a loving home for themselves. The infant bear is certain his mother won't desert him. He cuddles close to her and allows all to admire him. Across the street is the active bazaar called The Eagle Eye. Guiding Eyes for the Blind of Yorktown Heights recently expressed its thanks to the people of Westchester County. "We are quite fortunate to have such loyal friends located throughout the County. Not only do we receive tremendous co- operation from the residents of Yorktown Heights, Peekskill, mt. Kisco, and White Plains where we train, but our special projects are equally as well supported," said Executive Director Donald Z. Kauth of Scarsdale. The special events which Mr. Kauth referred to were the Annual Walk-A-Thon held in Yorktown Heights in the early fall, and the Annual Golf Classic held in the spring at the Mt. Kisco Country Club. Kauth commented that "In the brief history of these two events the amount of monies raised has increased from $16,000 in their first year to close to $93,000 this year." "The Annual Walk-A-Thon is a very special event because it brings our graduates and local community into a close working relationship," said Mr. Kauth. "It's something quite special to see 40 blind people with dogs leading hundreds of other partici- pants in the walk." He later went on to eminent that the golf tournament has really helped "increase our national exposure, especially with Ken Venturi's involvement (CBS golf commen- tator and former USPGA Champion), but of more importance, the people in Mt.
