• Two football coaches selected to North/South All-Star Game 2009-2010.
• Head football coach selected as coach in Shrine Bowl in 2009.
• Softball and Baseball in 2011 state playoffs.
• SC CATE Teacher of the Year.
• Three MVHS teachers are National Board Certified.
• One football, one baseball and two softball players played in the North-South All Star Games.

Midland Valley High School Mission Statement Midland Valley High School promotes academic success, respect, lifelong learning and citizenship.
Academic & Civic Accomplishments
• Implemented the Education and Economic Develop-ment Act (EEDA) for the sixth year.
• Instituted the Freshman Academy in the 2007-2008 school year.
• Midland Valley High School is one of six high schools in South Carolina selected to receive and use laptops in the cur-riculum during 2007-2009.
• NJROTC recognized as one of the top units in the Carolinas-15 years.
• MVHS Band earns “Outstanding Performance Award”.
• Spring 2010 — 88.8% passed HSAP.
• 2010 mean SAT score was 995 and the mean ACT score was 19.4.
• MVHS offers advanced placement courses in U.S. History, Biology, Cal-culus, English, Chemistry, Psychology and Human Geography.
• MVHS offers HSAP preparation classes for students needing assistance.
• 2010 ACT Improvement Award
• During school and after school tutoring provide aca-demic assistance for students.
• 2010 Red Carpet Award.
• 2009-2010 Palmetto Silver Award for Academic Excellence.
• MVHS students taking courses at the Aiken County Career and Technology Center have repeatedly clinched district, state and national titles.
• MVHS has a student-teacher ratio of 31.5 to 1.
• Supported the Valley’s Empty Stocking fund, donating an av-erage of $4,000 per year, for 27 years.
• Faculty & students gave 3,970 hours of community service.
